Here we go again!

Ok, so this is based on the somehow acquired knowledge that Christmas in Japan is not quite as important as it is in Europe. Let’s just say some people have heard of Christmas and some haven’t.

Title: Little Furry Christmas Fairy
Rating: PG for mild suggestiveness
Word Count: 300
Pairing: Zoro/Sanji...sorta
Topic: Chopper

The Straw Hats had once again hit the premises of a Winter Island, when Ussopp noticed it was December, 23rd.

He proceeded thereon to drown the crew in stories, mostly starting in the fashion of “Did you ever hear of this thing called Christmas?” or “Have I ever told you of how I helped Santa when he…”.

You catch the drift.

What exactly, though, Christmas was, not even Ussopp could reason.

Unexpected help came from Chopper, who told them it was somehow rooted in religious traditions, but in his hometown they gave presents to their loved ones (Or so he’d heard from Hiluluk. Kureha would have none of it.) to make them happy.

All the while a soft light shone in Choppers eyes as he thought of Home and began plotting.

So it happened that on Christmas Day the crew woke and found a stack of neatly wrapped packages.

Granted, the wrapping consisted of bandages and the presents were nothing fancy but, hey! The intention matters, right?

There were, however, no gifts for neither Sanji nor Zoro. And they did not care, mind you.

All the stranger appeared thus the note Sanji received later that afternoon, ordering him to the storage room.

Upon his arrival he found nothing but a whole bunch of… well, nothing. Just the usual stuff.

Staple food, spares, Luffy’s dirty underwear and a mistletoe above his head… what?

Slightly nonplussed, Sanji looked up at the offending piece of greenery. That certainly didn’t belong here, or so he thought when the door opened.

A distinctly grumpy looking swordsman entered and stopped dead in his tracks as he beheld the cook and the mistletoe. Zoro’s gaze shifted from Sanji to the green and ultimately fixed on the blonde, a smirk tugging on his lips as he stepped forward.

And so all was well with the world and they lived happily ever after.

Amazing how easily the topic vanishes into the background once you get writing.
