Rain storms and traveling

It's been nearly forever since I updated...wow.

Anyway, I had a great time with my parents. I really enjoyed their stay, and I hope they had a good time too. It was really fun showing them around town and going to Seoul with them. Highlights included visiting the palaces, especially Changgyeong Palace, Everland (of course) and Namsan Tower. The weather wasn't ideal, but it was preferable to our current weather.

Speaking of which, we have had pretty bad weather lately. Just this Thursday morning a typhoon hit around 4-5 am. I was awake for a majority of the time as my windows and door were rattling. My hamster, Lelouch, was scared to death and kept chewing on the bars of his cage nervously.
We've had rain nearly everyday, and rain all last weekend as well.

As far as classes go, they're going fine. Our Fall semester has started, so I got a new set of students, which is fun. Some of them I knew, but most of them I don't. I'm teaching higher level elementary classes, which is fun, though I prefer my younger kids. A lot of my old kids come up to me, nearly hugging me asking me to be their teacher again. That makes even the most miserable days bearable. I'm gonna miss those kids so much when I leave...

Lately I've been thinking a lot about what I'm going to do when I go back to America. I'm thinking of trying to take the Japanese proficiency test, and I'm planning on visiting my friend who's teaching in Japan with some friends, but beyond that I have no idea. I guess I'll just have to pray that God makes my path clear to me. For now I'm just biding my time here, assured by the fact that apparently Korea is always open to me...

I'm spending these last six months studying a lot of Japanese and spending some time touring through Seoul. I got a lot of vacationing done with my parents, so I'm hoping I can take a big chunk out of touring Seoul before having to retire for the winter. Let's make these last six months great!
