losing a loved one

sigh.. i was witnessing quite a saddening stream of events just now.. today's e day that Charcoal's gonna be put to sleep. Charcoal's one of the dogs at my place.. a mongrel. but quite majestic-looking nonetheless.. till he started getting sick. ohwell.. the other's Waggy, a King Charles' Spaniel.. they're great pals and inseparable. well Charcoal's appt is at 6.. and my bro wanted to take them out for a walk before he said goodbye to Charcoal. Charcoal went to hide underneath a shelf of pots in the garden tho.. and wldnt come out no matter how much my bro called and cajoled.. Waggy, on the other hand, lay as limp and depressed as a rag doll on the floor next to my bro. haiix.. I think Waggy's sick too, cuz his stomach kept heaving. and he wldnt eat last night. sigh. what a sad event, to be sure. in the end my bro managed to get Charcoal out from underneath the shelf and he led Waggy and Charcoal out the door on leashes.. the both of them looked livelier and abit happier.. but Charcoal was in a sad state.. fur in bad condition.. looked very sick.. yeah.. cld tell he was abit weak too.. cldnt walk v steadily. haiix. I dno if ive mentioned it but Charcoal has pigmentation cancer in his mouth, so he can't eat.. and he's been wasting away. v sad. i saw a letter on my bro's table this morning and it was a letter written by my bro to Charcoal. abit weird huh.. but my bro loves Charcoal a lot. really. he's like the dog person in the family. he loves Waggy too even tho Waggy's a tad psycho.. sigh i think Waggy's a v emotional dog.. *shakes head* there was a printed picture on my bro's table of himself with the dogs... i guess he's really extremely upset over this. but who wouldn't? both the dogs have been with us for the past 10 years.. cute puppies.. great-looking adults.. and now they're really old.. old dogs that are experiencing the sicknesses that come with old age.. it's a sad sad thing to watch your loved ones grow old and leave you one by one. i was tellin changx last night that it's both a curse and a blessing to have a longer lifespan than most species on this world huh.. i can't imagine if one day my cats fall sick too, especially the black cat Mocha. =( sigh. the year of 2006 is a year of much loss and grieving, it seems..

well, i cut my talons off last night. it feels weird to be doing stuff with my fingertips again instead of my nails.. haha.. but good things can't last forever huh.. aniwae i can grow my nails out later. yeah...
