Ever have one of those mornings?

A generic query I spose, since every morning is in fact "one of those mornings" if one fails to clarify.

However, mainly it stems from boredom. Games pile up around me, anime collects, and work gathers dust. I'm in the mood to do something, but I'm not really sure what. I have been playing the trial version of Ragnarok Online... very very cute, but oh so incomplete. For instance there doesn't seem to be much in the way of item customisation... and the spell caster situation I found ridiculous. Any hit will interupt you, and all the spells take a long time. So essentially you need to stay out of agro range and kill in a single hit. I might tell you that is not easy... especially when you find the people who also make up the world are a complete bunch of fucks. My preference for instanced gaming has been enhanced... quite often I'd get myself a target set up and then cast... and in the 10 seconds it takes to do my only kill guaranteed spell, some half wit comes over and starts hacking away. It really breaks my heart, cos the game is kinda addictive. Lineage 2 was interesting... but it has very poor interface response. I do like some of the concepts, but WoW still seems the best overall. I think that dissappoints Steve a little. We would really like to take a break, go play another MMORPG for a time, whilst we wait for the expansion and Oceanic realms. I was quite surprised they decided to throw the region any sort of bone... they've been most arrogant on the subject for a while.

My talk went poorly... my presentation of the project. There was a large amount of debate in the group concerning the validity of the interpretations of the results, in so far as there ended up being two camps. One camp felt that the results showed that we may've encountered something interesting... the other camp felt we should emphasise that we simply laid the ground work for a larger project, and had found an expermental configuration which didn't work. As a result my talk was a mishmash of the two points of view.

I really hope I don't have tutoring today... I don't think I do, so I'm staying home.

*sighs and goes back to procrastination*
