A WHAT IF discussion
All this speculation about Momo hopefully reappearing in the manga has gotten me thinking: Gosh I really dislike Momo.
Why? She had so much potential for a massive character development at the end of the Soul Society arc!
What if Aizen hadn't severed his ties with Momo? What if he could see further use out of her, and she followed him to Hueco Mundo in her blind loyalty?
That would have been awesome.
It would also offer more possible character development for Hitsugaya as well. He'd be completely eaten up over his childhood friend crossing lines because she was so fiercely loyal!
I would imagine Momo would have even rationalized in her mind the idea that Aizen was the right one all along, and that her choice was the best choice.
It would be a lot more interesting than having her spend the next arc in a coma, except for that one chapter where she woke up to talk to Hitsugaya. :P
