Well he shows more sympathetic qualities than Ichigo in this arc, plus he does teamwork! so I'm not surprised. I never really noticed him until HM, actually.

Amen to that. I actually really enjoyed the interaction he had with Mayuri this arc so far.

I was surprised he was all "h-hey you okay, your zanpakuto's in pieces". i missed that in the script, caught it last week when i looked over the scanslations.

despite his pride, and hate for mayuri, he knows how to appreciate mayuri saved his ass. i lurve him more!
