raindrops will fall
Second half of week 2... 11 and a half weeks to go. I'm loving my job right now. Despite all the rude moms and dads that slam the door in my face, the cool parents that just want to spend a couple of minutes to talk to me about their kids and education makes it all worth it. oh my gosh, i have to tell you this... i sold books to a black family today!! ahh!!! i loved the dad. his name was lionel jean-francois!! i'm totally working in the ghetto right now, but the people are so cool. i was working like the richer families the other day and i didn't make a sale and here in this new area, i'm selling a whole bunch. the people are just much more down to earth and just want the best for their kids. all the rich families think they have everything already and that just because their kids go to private school or are in french immersion that they have it all already. plus, all the families in the rich areas are white. like i'm sure they're totally weirded out by seeing some tiny asian girl trying to sell books in their neighbourhood.
i'm really starting to like my job though. it's getting much better. the nasty weather conditions like the snow and the rain can be a bitch, but it's all good. families are pretty cool when they see that you're soaking wet or freezing cold. i'm just so excited for how different my life will be when the summer is over. i can't wait to see how much i'm going to grow after this whole experience. everything's gonna be so different when i get back!!! I Can't Wait!! I MISS YOU ALL!! EMAIL ME!!! I HAVE NO EMAILS... i feel so not missed. haha.
