Well things came to a bit of a head this morning. I have been running around like a crazy person all week trying to finish my Molecular lab report. I still have 6 graphs to draw, not to mention the bulk of my actual written report. Oh, and since my lab partners discovered a problem with our data, I have to do all my calculations over. This report is due today at 5:30 pm....I am currently skipping my first class (8:00 am Microbiology) because while I was in the shower I developed a crick in my neck. A crick being a series of severe muscles spasms and pain that shoot like lightning through my shoulder, up my neck and to my head, just behind the ear. It was so bad that I thought I was going to pass out in the shower. I never pass out. ...well not very often. I called my mother and did as she told and took some pain medication and then iced my neck for about 30 min. The pain is still there, more severe when I turn my head certain ways and my whole back is stiff. Hence the reason I did something I rarely do and skipped class. So now to the issue of the lab report. I can turn it in late for a loss of 5%...The total amt. of pts. that it is worth is 10 out of 300. I am severely tempted to turn it in late...tomorrow perhaps, after I have had a chance to finish all my new calculations. I hope that after this whole disaster I might get some sleep, seeing as last night I went to bed at 1am and got up at 6am this morning. I have also learned that from between the hours of 9-12 I tend to be very sleepy (like my mother)and I don't really come awake until around 12:30 and that is with coffee assistance. I probably could have stayed up all night and done my report but I dont think I would be worth a flip this morning if I did. All the stress of the week has caught up with me and my back is a total fucking mess! This neck pain, combined with the fact that my left thigh keeps going numb at random times, and my good ole' wrist pain is back tells me that my back is so messed up that if I don't get some help I am going to land myself in the doctor's office. Time for a trip to the chiropractor. My last source of irritation is my lovely computer. The problems with this thing keep building up and up. I am fairly sure that the main problem is the fans and the computer is over heating. Now getting the right fans and installing them is a different matter. (small plea to all computer knowledgeable friend here...HELP!) Beth defraged it yesterday and now that I know how to do that, it has been running quite a bit faster ("no shit Sherlock" I hear Beth say) I was trying figure out how to back up my computer onto a disk but I am still not quite sure how to do it. Any advice would be appreciated. I also have a virus on my computer that I have no fecking idea how to get rid of it. I have followed the instructions given by the wonderful internet but alas I must being doing something wrong because it never works. Finally I am getting new keyboard sometime in the near future. I believe I have developed a healthy hate of this one and besides I found a really awesome one with blue LED lights in the keys. There it is...all my issues for this week (besides the obvious one of my love flying to England). I am hoping that Monday will bring a whole new set of problems and I can sweep these under the rug. Now if I can only survive today....
