Memory 1; I came to this strange world

It was dark and her mind felt sluggish but she knew she and just woken up and that she was keeping her eyes closed. A warm male voice spoke, although there were hints of… irritation in his voice, “She won’t recognize her new name,” he said to someone else in the room. Who was he…? Just when my mind tried to fill in the blank my senses were overwhelmed by this unknown… scent was what it was called, right? The odorless room suddenly smelled of flowers. The word Perfume popped into my head.
“Can you hear me?’ This voice was definitely feminine. It also sounded shrill and bossy. “Are you aware?” Of course I was. I was quite aware of how she was interrupting my thoughts.
The man’s voice returned now, this time gentle, “Take your time.” This was directed at me. Why were these people fretting over me so much? I didn’t feel sick in the least.
“Have I been placed in a damaged host in order to gain the information you need, Seeker?” This was quickly followed by a surprised gasp, most like from this newly named Seeker. But… Who had said it? It couldn’t have been me… Could it? My voice didn’t sound like that. But at the same time I knew it was mine. All mine.
The Healer spoke reassuringly, probably to calm me, “ Of course not,--” There was that static again. What was he saying? Was it my name? Why couldn’t I hear it? “Even a Seeker would stop at some things.” An angry hiss from the woman was his reply. So Seeker wasn’t a name… Was it a profession? What kind of profession was a Seeker?
“Then why doesn’t this mind function correctly?” That was the strange voice again. The one I knew was my own but different. Silence followed my question.
“The scans were perfect. The body was entirely healed.” The Seeker sounded argumentative. As if she knew my body better than I.
“From a suicide attempt that was perilously close to succeeding.” S-suicide?! Had I tried to commit suicide? This feeling felt so strange… And hard to contain. Why did anger feel so new to me? So alien…
“Everything was in perfect order --” The man cut off the infuriating woman, “ What is missing? Clearly, you’ve accessed speech.”
My strange voice once again spoke, “Memory…”

memory, ooc
