Tomoyo's kindness never failed to warm Sakura's heart, and she accepted the apron gratefully, slipping it on without her usual protests against such things. She placed the gloves carefully to the side where they wouldn't get trampled on, then launched herself at her best friend, hugging the other girl tightly.

"You stay safe, okay, Tomoyo-chan? I can't ---" and this was hard to say because she adored her Cards and not being able to use them hurt --- "The Cards don't work here, so I can't protect you like usual, and ---"

She shook herself, then smiled. "I'll do my best for us both, okay? And then we can figure out how to get back home to Kero-chan and Yue-san and everyone back home."

Because everything would be okay. She just had to keep believing that.

Tomoyo held her friend gently as Sakura hugged her, and smiled gently as they pulled away. "Of course we'll get home, Sakura-chan. I believe in you."

She gave a soft laugh, her expression only mutely showing its seriousness for the situation around them. She understood the vital urgency of the atmosphere, but it didn't seem to break her calm, not when her cousin was here to ensure things went right.

She nodded, determination filling her green eyes as the gravity of the situation impressed itself on her again.

"You'll be okay by yourself?"

Sorry for the slow reply. I've been working on college stuff. :) daidouji_heir March 19 2010, 13:52:16 UTC
The long-haired girl had kept her cousin's fingers in her own, and she squeezed gently at Sakura's words. "I will stay out of the battle but-" Tomoyo smiled and lifted the PDA. "I want to be sure to record you when you save people, Sakura-chan."
