Waiting in the lobby, Saralegui was smirking away, unable to resist doing so after his stroke of good luck. Of course, it would have been better if he could have gotten Yuuri like he'd wanted -- and had he been home where his eyes still worked, he knew it wouldn't have failed -- but regardless, at least he found a weapon at all. And, judging by how quickly the boy had been able to transform into his scythe form, likely a strong one.

At this point, he couldn't honestly even say he was fighting this battle to get home sooner -- surely one more inexperienced pair wouldn't have that much of an effect on the battle's outcome -- nor to protect anyone. Yuuri's retainers would be doing that much, after all. Rather, he'd already taken advantage of the extremely close battle to put more pressure on the Demon King, hoping that seeming desperate to participate would make Yuuri more likely to help him. If he just gave up on joining the fight now after the double-black had turned him down, it could look suspicious.

And besides, if he got so much as a scratch while fighting here, Yuuri would likely feel so guilty over not having been there to prevent it that he'd never again refuse to help Sara. Just thinking of it, the human king's smirk widened.

Spotting the boy he'd convinced to fight with him, the blonde pushed himself away from the wall he was leaning against, flashing Kanon a sweet smile.

"Glad to see you could make it~" he said, smooth and charming.

His enthusiasm wasn't shared, the boy tilting his head slightly to the side as he regarded him with that same, flat, almost suspicious look. After a moment, he gave him a little nod, stopping several feet away from the man. "It was not a far walk, and there is not much else to do in this state."

He knew Jessica would be worried about him, this battle was sure to be dangerous, and knowing how she was, having him out there was the last thing she wanted. But he knew better then anyone, that she wouldn't order him to do anything. Because of her feelings for him... He should feel guilty for manipulating her like that really, but it was for her own good.

What would he do alone if that monster came through and went after her? trapped in those shelters, those who did not or could not fight would be siting ducks, all gathered in bundles.

He regarded the man in front of him who claimed to be working for the same thing, to protect someone who could not fight.

"I am clueless about this part, I will follow your lead."

"Well, I haven't been here much longer than you have," Sara pointed out, crossing his arms across his chest. He was suppose to take command? Well, at least he was used to doing so.

"I'm not positive about how it works either. All I can really suggest is that you transform into your weapon form and we see if I'm able to use you. I heard that something happens to indicate if you have really good resonation with someone -- a flash of light or a good feeling or something, I'd guess, but I believe you can still work decently well with someone even if they aren't you 'one true partner' or whatever. Then again, some people just can't work together at all, and I heard that for them, the meister can't even pick up the weapon."

The servant arched an eyebrow slightly, catching his lip between his teeth for a moment before quietly nodding, always one to cut straight to the chase. "If you insist. I will attempt it that way...." He hesitated, frowning. "Though...It would help...if you assisted me once I do."

He really didn't want to fall forward on his face again, that kind of embarrassment was too much.

Taking a quiet breath he closed his eyes again, lifting his arm in that same fashion he did to summon his locus, and pushed himself forward (Why momentum seemed to help was beyond him), transforming fluidly into that scythe form. It was easier every time he tried it, even though the sensation was so incredibly odd, being formed as such. The locus blade lit the room with a soft, red glow, as he tried to maintain his balance, wobbling slightly.

Shit.

"Of course," Sara replied with a nod and a sweet smile. "What sort of a partner would I be if I let you fall?"

He fell silent, though, as Kanon went through the motions of taking on his weapon form. And what a form it was. The blonde suppressed a grin at the sight, delighted with the elegant, sharp-looking blade. He had to admit, the feeling was rather like watching Yuuri go into his Maoh mode; excited and practically shaking with thrill at the thought of using that power as he liked.

The elegance of the transformation was somewhat lost as the scythe wobbled, but Sara merely smirked, catching it by the pole with one hand to steady it. "Better~?"

The sensation of having the man's hand around him was shocking, and he started a little, looking down at the one steadying him. It was stranger that he was looking down, from such a height, at him as well. Kanon was never a tall child, and even at 16 he was below average for his age. Even with how vulnerable being in this form felt, it was slightly more empowering to be able to say that he could 'look down' on someone.

"Yes, thank you." That same flat, quiet tone, though slightly twisted as it came from an impossible source. He didn't even want to think on the physics that allowed such a thing. Being held by him was strange, yes, but as nothing was burning or like he wanted him to release him immediately, other then the embarrassment of being held. "It is more difficult then it should be to stay balanced this way."

His form was not very heavy really, as his blade was made of a substance that had almost no real weight, the scythe was very quick and easy to wield.

No neeed to make this sort of "holding" sound so intimate. Sara might get ideas.

"I imagine you're not supposed to be standing on your own anyway," the king mused, gingerly touching the side of the blade with a curious little frown. "That's what I'm here for, anyway."

Testing the feel of the weapon in his hands, Sara gripped the staff and lifted it, a bit surprised at how lightweight the scythe felt. Then again, it looked like it was made of something other than metal, so that was probably the cause.

Shruggling nonchalantly, Saralegui gave the weapon an experimental swing, after first glancing around to make sure there were no passerby that he might hurt of course. "This should do, I suppose~"

It was difficult when he was not used to human contact in general.

"I would expect not, with the way ...I am shaped." It was so strange referring to one's self as such. He gasped a little as he was picked up and then swung around- how weird-! It was slightly dizzying- a stomach turning feeling. Did he even have a stomach in this form?

"Ah-!" His voice broke slightly, a wincing expression almost reflecting in the light of the locus blade, before it turned sarcastic, and slightly dizzy. "I am glad I at least meet your minimum requirements."

Sara offereed the face reflected in the blade a smile, instead letting the weapon rest horizontally in his hands to get a better feel for it. "Oh relax~" he soothed, running his thumb over the scythe's handle in a gentle, repetitve motion. "I only meant that we as a pair should be fine for the fight."

Grinning with satisfaction, he patted the blade like one would do for a dog. "Don't worry, as a weapon you're magnificent~"

He flinched bodily enough to make the Scythe jump a little in Sara's hands as he stroked down the smooth metal surface of the handle. "If you...are sure." His tone belayed his discomfort, for a moment, before he smoothed it over, unhappily receiving that pat. What was he? A pet to be comforted? That distaste passed over his reflection in the form of a grumpy frown.

"I don't need your reassurance. What matters is that we can fight like this, that is all."

"I'm sure," he assured Kanon, righting the scythe again and resting its base against the floor of the lobby.

Noting the younger boy's expression in the blade, he grinned apologetically. "Alright then, if you say so." He relaxed his grip on the weapon, keeping it from falling but also leaving open the choice of Kanon returning to his normal form if he so wished. "If the battle is tomorrow, then should we take advantage of what little time we have to at least practice~?"

It was a choice that he readily made, the scythe becoming insubstantial in his hands and then forming into the young servant who stumbled backwards away from the taller man and grabbing onto a couch to keep from landing on his rear. He straightened, readjusting the beret that had fallen over one eye in his stumbling.

"H-ha." He looked up at Sara with an uncomfortable expression, but he was right. With their inexperience, practice would be the best choice. "......Yes. But we should find a place more open then this, I think."

"Heh, unless we want to accidentally slice up anyone who might be coming in late," Sara said with a smirk that might have been a little too sadistic for such a simple little joke.

He offered a hand to the boy, granting him an innocent smile. "Shall we go, then? I found a strange open courtyard while wandering the other day -- the strangest thing, really. Black pavement and it had these white lines painted all over it with poles at either end, and someone had attached hoops to the poles..."

He just arched an eyebrow, obviously not finding it the least amusing.

"A basketball court." He ignored the hand, twisting his shoulder to avoid touching it as he pushed away from the couch, blue eyes watching him in that cat-ish way. "That would probably be sufficient." He continued to watch him even as he walked to the door, until he couldn't keep his eyes on him anymore and quietly turned his back, pushing open the heavy doors. He didn't quite trust this guy...

"Lets go."

"Is that what it's called?" Sara asked, frowning in irritation. One does not ignore a king, after all.

Still, he followed after Kanon anyway as the younger boy headed out of the communal, quickening his steps to take the lead once they were out in the street. "This way, then," he said, starting in the direction of the place he'd met Neku just the other day.

"Yes, humans play games on it." He glanced back at him sideways, hands neatly set at his sides, watching as the blond walked past him and took the lead. He nodded slightly at the comment, following after the man and sizing him up quietly as he did.

"They use a ball and two teams attempt to get it into the other team's hoop." It was a stupid game really, in his opinion.
