Description: Lavi went snooping for books and got stuck in Shibusen when the fog settled in. Ping offers to fetch him. When China finds out he is not happy. Neither is Shang. God this will not end well.
Note: Starting off with paragraph just to put up the setting, did a tad of NPCing hope you guys don't mind xD But from here on, at least till we get to said shadows we ere doing action, yes? And I was thinking order: Lavi->China->Shang->Ping->Mushu once he joins the group?

It was a little past midnight. Ping had just gotten back from collecting his set of glasses and...Lavi's monocle from Teddie. He inspected the glasses a little uncertainly. They were inconspicuous enough. Very thin frames, his preferred dark green color. He slipped them on. It was a little uncomfortable but it didn't seem to hinder his vision too much, and indeed when he looked out the window it was as clear as day.

Still. The deep feeling of dread would not leave him. It was difficult to tell with how dark it still was, but Ping could sense it in his bones. This fog carried a weight, and it made hims wary.

He donned on his father's armor and took up the the wooden pole he used during training. If in fact there was something out there, he doubted it would last long, but better that than nothing. Once he got to Lavi, he wouldn't need to worry for Ping felt confident he could take on whatever was out there with him by his side. At the very least long enough to seek out an escape for the both of them. With that he left the Communal, unaware that very soon two people would be hot on his tail.

The city was disturbingly quiet, and once outside he could tell that indeed the fog had grown stronger. He pulled his neck scarf up over his mouth. He had heard Souji's warnings, and while the boy hadn't mentioned anything about whether it needed to be inhaled or not to take its effects, better safe than sorry.

He moved very quickly, and very silently, taking paths that he knew would lessen the time and always alert. There did seem to be something out there but every time he jerked his head to look it was gone. Not his imagination, that was for sure.

He picked up his pace, heading straight for Shibusen.

mushu, li shang, fa mulan, lavi, yao wong (china)
