Description: Leo has been MIA for some days after his run-in with Ryoki now. Some people are worried enough to investigate. (For details please check here. Crossposted with proper icons on DW here!)
The room was a mess and so was its inhabitant. Leo had returned on autopilot the morning after that fateful nightly encounter with Ryoki, feeling too burned out and empty to even ache no matter how badly beaten up his body was. Kicking his rollerblades off after entering and leaving them lying on the floor, he had somehow staggered his way into the bathroom and taken a scalding hot shower that hadn’t been able to make him feel any warmer at all.
Then he had went to bed. And stayed there. He was tired but the first bout of sleep hadn’t made him feel better and neither had the second. The inside of his head felt as if it was stuffed with cotton, drowning out all the things that should have mattered to him. There was a vague sense of loss, but it was far away as if it was merely the resonating echo of the suffering of somebody else. He knew that he should have been tired. That he should be tired and aching and so very hurt in ways that didn’t have anything to do with his physical injuries.
…If he had known that not thinking was that easy he would have started with it long ago.
((Ooc-note about the place: Leo’s apartment is pretty much empty: there is the small figurine of him in a heroic pose that Bakura made for him for Christmas standing on his writing desk (facing the wall), some cheap pens and an empty note block, an old magazine that’s collecting dust, some clothes and a medicine bag with lots of headache medicine and painkillers. The only more expensive items are a black winter jacket and a pair of running shoes. The fridge is pretty much empty as well. The whole place feels a lot like a hotel room whose inhabitant only returns when he needs to sleep - it’s not even lived in enough to get properly messy.
