[Hanabi arrives promptly after her initial warm-up, holding two styrofoam cups of hot chocolate. It's become a habit of hers to bring the sweet warm liquid to share whenever she's meeting someone out here. That way if they take some time to talk, they may stay warm as they do so.]

[She nods her head politely in greeting.]

I brought some hot chocolate to share before we try resonating.

[A blink at that, then a smile.]

That is most kind of you.

[Hanabi passes over the second cup of hot chocolate.]

I hope you like it. I think it's a good way to keep warm.

[A very tasty way to keep warm. Hanabi has no objection to eating nutritious food, but she can certainly appreciate sweet tasting things.]

I admit, I have not drunk this very often in the past.

[It's obvious that he appreciates it, however, from the expression on his face as he takes another sip.]

The first time I ever tried hot chocolate was in Death City at morning training. I try to have some every morning now so that I won't be cold when I'm doing training where I'm not moving around very much.

[Hanabi finishes her hot chocolate as quickly as she can manage without burning herself. She gets into a fighting stance and holds out her hand.]

I'm ready whenever you are.

[Hanabi reaches down to pick Koujurou's Weapon form up, eying the crackling energy in mild awe. The power is immediately apparent. It puts her in mind of people who can use lightning based jutsu. It also makes her think of the advice Professor Stein gave her - that her Soul Menace would be enhanced by good resonance with a Weapon partner. That crackling energy combined with her own could make them extremely formidable if they resonate well.]

Here I go.

[When she pushes the energy from her soul wavelength to meet his, certain traits of her soul become apparent. This is the soul of a young warrior who is dedicated, polite, confident, quiet, strong and determined.]

[It is nothing that he had not been prepared for, and coming in contact with Hanabi's wavelength only confirmed how he had come to view her already. It's satisfying, at least, knowing that this is a fighter he can trust to perform in a pinch.

[She pushes the resonance link a little more, getting a sense of his spirit as she does so. Her impression is very positive - Koujurou is someone she'd gladly work with if he would like to partner up. He's certainly no slacker.]

[And not one to have anything to hide. Koujurou was one to know his limits and wise due to his years, but he was also a samurai, and retainer to one of the greatest generals of Hi-no-Moto. He was as proud as one such as himself ought to be, and not afraid of letting others know that.]

[Justified pride doesn't bother Hanabi. Her father is a proud man, but he's also very powerful. It's no small feat to defeat twenty trained shinobi with a single defensive technique.]

It's called Soul Menace or Soul Force. I can attack with the energy from my soul wavelength. It's a lot like my clan's fighting style, only we use chakra. It's close, but not exactly the same.
