This was the time he had waited for!

Not wasting a second the Sinner turned back and grabbed Takuto with negligible success as he already turned about, intending to use his normal sword like a stepping stone for a quick escape skywards. It was when he turned to jump up when the kishin eggs reached them - far faster than the demon had anticpated.

"Takuto, hold- " 'on' was what he wanted to say but a kishin egg leapt at them at this very moment, attacking in the short opening the distraction had caused in Aion's defense. Aion's angry growl as he jerked his arm and wing forward to block a crushing blow of a limb that seemed to only consist of blades and thorns turned into a scream of pain as both of his limbs were just blown away and suddenly warmth bloomed not only in the arm and wing, but also his side. Clenching his teeths the demon changed his arm into a blade and started hacking his way free while he was still holding onto Takuto.

In the end he had collected a set of painful blows and when they finally took to the air most of his white clothes were bloodied. It took him all he had just to get them back behind the line of defenders before he fell out of the air.

Gaaaaahhh... now me/Takuto feels all guilty.....

Everything seemed to be rushing by too quickly for Takuto to really follow. He was more tired than he'd ever been in his life and no matter how much he tried to open his eyes or move his arms, nothing happened. His whole body felt limp. He could feel a warm spray that might have been blood, but he wasn't sure if it came before or after the yell from his weapon.

But he did know that at some point, the demon was holding him tightly, the air was rushing past them very quickly, and that when he woke up later, they would both be alive.

Aion was barely aware that Takuto had passed out on him, only noticing it when one of the medics asked him about it. He assured the man that it had been exhaustion and not some kishin attack that had taken the redhead down and then proceeded to leave his Meister in their worried care. Ignoring his own injuries that were starting to include feeling dizzy and lightheaded from the loss of blood as well, he dragged himself to the mirror knowing that he would get first aid behind it and be out of the battle's way.

The only good thing about this turn of events was that he knew just the right surgeon to turn to as soon as he could.
