Description: Kuroro realizes just how lucky he is to have Kurapika as his weapon partner.
Perhaps the reason why he wanted to get Kuroro back to their flat so badly was because he saw it as a sort of finishing line, the end goal to a long and agonizing race that had started with China's disappearance, passed through Kuroro's tantrums, the string of thefts and Kuroro's subsequent arrest, and that long week of wrestling with his demons while he struggled to pacify his guilt with daily visits and stupid gifts of food, finally culminating in his self-appointed responsibility of fetching his partner from prison today. Oh, there was no doubt that he'd achieved what he'd set out to do, no doubt that Kuroro was back to normal now, but Kurapika wasn't going to feel that it was completely over until he'd managed to bring his idiot meister back to what passed as their home in this city.
But once it was over, once he'd ascertained that he'd fulfilled his responsibility of dragging Kuroro up from the mire he'd gotten stuck in, he could finally stop doing it, stop being the responsible person, maybe finally have time to grapple with his own feelings of loss with China being gone, work on burying his issues and free up some room to breathe. It would be nice to have a straight night of sleep again.
