"Looks like we'll need to look for some clothes then too. I guess I'm not the only one who arrived here banged up, huh? " She cracked a smile before she stretched her arms, nodding once.
"Okay, let's go then! We've got work to do!"

She glances over her shoulder. "A journey? Where were you headed? "

"For your sister then? I see! Trying to be the brave big brother. That isn't fair at all." She started laughing, inwardly chastising BREW for doing what it did. Seperate people from family.
Then again..If I hadn't been here I wouldn't have met Tomoe-san, or Rei-san, or Takuto or Tifa-san or all sorts of people. It's not all bad..
"Well, I guess you're just going to have to hang tight until BREW decides to send us home. It can be something to look forward to! I don't want to make you homesick, but what's Xing like, exactly?"

"It's the leadership that's a problem, isn't it? " She walks past him, nodding her thanks as she walks down the steps, waiting for him to catch up. Ling seemed pretty insightful, like he really cared about his country. In a way? It reminded her of Kenshin. And also? It reminded her about herself. Maybe not the country as much as she cared about people.

"It is unusual, but I believe there's a way to protect people without taking life. Killing is wrong no matter what reason is behind it." Kaoru said firmly, sapphire eyes meeting his. "My Father put blood, sweat and tears into that truth, and for his honor, no, because I believe it too, I'm going to fight to make it a truth for kenjutsu." A slightly sheepish smile appeared on her face.
"Kenshin says..that my ideal is nothing but a naive lie that only people who haven't stained their hands with blood can believe. But he also says..that he himself wishes that it becomes a truth for swordsmanship. So I know it can happen someday!" She said passionately, hands in gathered fists in front of her. She then pinkened. She was going off again ( ... )

Kaoru felt genuinely touched that someone agreed. Many people here she knew had branded her as a naive idealist, and yet--it still meant a lot to her that he was trying to understand. "I will. Once we get you settled sometime."
She started listening to his description, quietly filtering through the stores until she found one she was used to shopping at, pausing at his words. "Eh? You know Mustang-san?"
