To say that Koujurou was alarmed by the turn of events in areas beyond Death City would be an understatement. In light of the political unrest and the increase in missions, his own personal tragedy of losing his master seemed like a minor issue.
Vergil was busy with his own matters, and that meant that the two of them were not actually participating in any missions. Rather than let this irk him, however, Koujurou merely elected to work even harder for the Watch. He stayed on the patrol route after morning training, moving about, checking up on the men and women under his command and keeping an eye out for trouble. He only stopped, on occasion, to rest his feet, or to take a light meal.
