[He is there beside her, attempting to make himself even smaller than he is, and coiling his tail about himself... and her, to a small degree.]

I'm waiting for someone to get drunk so I can laugh at them, but yeah. It's pretty cool.

Mm, I think I would have to admit, humans really do look odd and do things they would normally not do while inebriated.

That aside, I am glad you are enjoying yourself. A new year is upon us, and while the game did not go as planned, at least we are celebrating in an auspicious manner.

They also had Zone leader Rhapsodos who can also fly. That is one good reason I can think of.

I did not think he could do that; he really does seem to be a man full of surprises.

We definitely will. No matter what, we shall be victorious.

[Because, it just would not do if they were on a losing streak as far as those games went.]

Then again, that shall be for another day. Soon, I hope.

[He pauses for a moment, because if they continue speaking on this subject, he is sure that they would both continue to be sore and that just would not do for such a night.]

Toph... I was wondering -- what do you hope will come in this new year?

The end of the war. I don't even want it to end so I can go home. I just want it over.

[He gives her a nod, and eventually even comes to nudge her a little with his snout.]

While I am not one to shy away from battles, it would be nice to finally live someplace where war is not something I would have to worry about.

The only time I have been in a land that is in peace is when I went to China, and even then that was only for several weeks at the most.

We had just won a hundred year war back home when I got brought here. [She's a little blue] This sucks.

So we are both a product of war, it seems.

It might "suck" as you have put it, but we are not the only ones in this predicament, so it sucks for everyone. All we can do is bear what we can and help.

It just would be nice to have longer moments of respite like this than have to deal with all these madness wavelengths and random witch attacks.

Mm, now that you mention it, I really do not know what he is doing at all.

Then again, I think he would prefer to stay at home. Not like he would like many people to know whom he is, after all.

Perhaps we can have some tea after we get home and hear the fireworks go off at midnight?
