Kaoru! [And here's Takuto, looking just as eager as she is while she wanders around with her poorly-wrapped presents. He isn't going to comment on it--after all, she does have on arm in a sling. But she isn't the only one carrying something brightly wrapped.]

I'm glad I found you! Merry Christmas!

[And he holds out a box about six inches across, with red paper and a bright, golden bow.]

Takuto! [ Kaoru turned to spot her student, her ponytail whipping behind her back as she brightened almost immediately. For his stupidity at the hospital, the air of the season was on her full spring, and she walked over, her sandals clopping on the ground as she tilted her head at the sudden gift. ]

This is my present? ..[ she set her basket down, using her good arm to reach out and smile a bit sheepishly ] It's my first present from someone in my future...and yet I can't even open it right. [ she makes a face. she's ripped it halfway with her good hand, but she's having trouble. she sets the box resting in her sling as she proceeds to rip it open further, looking a bit frustrated. ]

and for her birthday, maybe he'll get her some kind of birth control, lol~ JUST IN CASE ;)

[He laughs a little, at both the fact that it's a 'present from the future' and at her feeble (but oddly adorable) attempts to unwrap it. But he holds out a hand.]

[ setting it on the snowy ground she used her teeth and hand to open it up, only to stop and stare at what was inside. her lips parted, blue eyes wide as she looked up ]

You..--it's..it's chocolate! That hot chocolate powder we had at that coffee place..and--are these --these are marsh..mellows? [ her eyes were wide in her face. it was rare that she ever got things or presents in general and she couldn't help but be in awe ]

[ she just looked up at him with snow in her hair, and a look of wonder, almost shock, as she held the present close, beaming. that was her quiet 'thank you' before she almost dropped the gift, brightening up at him ]

Wait! I almost forgot! I have your present! [ reaching into her basket, she held out two wrapped things, long, like poles, with a little circular thing wedged between them. it was actually two shinai, with the engraved kanji of 'Kamiya Kasshin-ryu, Student: Tsunashi Takuto.' on each. He did use both swords. ]

Here! Open them!

/stupid grin! (bffs can't stay mad at each other for long)

[He takes the presents with quite possible the biggest grin he's had yet in Death City. Judging by the weight and the size, he's pretty sure he knows exactly what's underneath the wrapping paper.]

Thanks! [And he rips apart the wrapping paper, staring in awe at the beautiful practice swords, marveling at the engravings.]
