Description: This might be as good as a ring, really.

To Roy's credit, he did try his best to kick back and not work too much. He went to the office, of course, to show his face, check up on things and drop off some gifts. He had been pleasantly surprised to see that a number of folks had gotten him something in return - not what he had expected at all, really. After that, he had done a round with the folks he'd have to call upon personally, which had led to a number of nice run-ins.

All in all, it had been a good day, and because Flynn had pretty much kicked him out early without having to say anything (his second had simply muscled him out of doing anything by doing everything himself), Roy found himself coming home much earlier than expected. He had not been sure, at first, how things would be in Nanako's absence - she had been looking forward to Christmas - but everything went wonderfully. Souji and Jules had cooked up a wonderful meal (and dragged Roy and Dojima into it), he had attended his first Christian Mass (courtesy of Jules), and overall? It had just been nice. Really nice. He was, in fact, not sure if things could get any better than this. He hadn't been this happy in a while.

As things were, Roy was currently out on the balcony of his home, nursing a cigarette, watching the snow fall over the city. He was tired, but it was the good kind of tired. The apartment was quiet now - he planned on heading out a bit later, as there was still one more promise he intended to keep.

In the meantime, though, he wanted to enjoy a moment to just be on his own, as himself.
