Description: Nepeta finally returns to Death City after a week long absence.
[Nepeta would have enjoyed staying out longer. The desert was not her favorite of places, but it beat the city by a long shot. The open space, the quietness, the small animals to hunt away from the cluster and clog of the city had been just what she needed, had been revitalizing even. Yet she knew that her abrupt disappearance would probably worry some people, letter or not, and she didn't want their possible concern to ruin the upcoming holiday that everyone seemed so hyped up about.
That really was the only reason she had come back, and as she entered the streets of the city she had to admit it almost felt like she was entering it for the first time all over again. It had only been a week, not very long at all, but even back home she had always had her tablet to get in contact with any of her friends. She did not regret leaving her communicator behind, but it definitely did make her feel slightly odd to once more be surrounded by so many people.
Especially when she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was up. Maybe it was just something about how people were going about their day, the atmosphere, instinct---she didn't know what, but something definitely seemed up.
Well, she supposed she would find out soon enough, once she got ahold of her communicator. Hopefully it was still in her room in the CC.]
