It was chaos when she arrived. Tifa stopped short as she came across a body near the entrance way, feeling her stomach drop at the sight. Despite the amount of deaths she'd witnessed, it never got easier. But she wouldn't turn away from it or let it put fear in her; it intensified her drive to fight back in some way. Looking around hastily, she tried to size up the situation quickly.

In any case, he was mistaking her for a resident of the city. She frowned a bit at his barked order and shook her head, "I'm here to fight as well." She wasn't sure if it warranted mention that she was a weapon with no meister. It seemed to Tifa he would find that as more excuse to dismiss her.

"Is this your first time?"

"I'm pretty new here. So yeah, I haven't joined in any of the fights yet. What about you?"

Stopping next to her, he pulled the fastenings of his glove tighter. "I prepared the stage, so they should be after us now. You better be ready."

Regardless, she looked back to the area, body tense as she prepared for whatever he had set up. "What did you prepare?"

Without another word he turned around and pulled what looked to be a pale grey weapon from his sleeve. Concentrating on the display of a certain store a bit down the mall's main corridor, he narrowed eyes that were neither a proper brown nor grey and seemed alarmingly inhuman in the light. Preparing to pull the trigger of the water-gun he had taken from a nearby toy store, he added calmly "They're already here."
Just before he could pull the trigger a multi-legged black mass of something burst from the door of a different shop than what he had aimed at and hurled itself towards them with an ululating screech. Seeing the thing, Ryuuji remained calm and smirking. "So there you were." To Tifa, he added, "It's an Oomukade. Don't let yourself get bitten and you should be fine."

The kishin egg that barreled into their area made Tifa skid back a bit, raising her fists in preparation. It was another moment of dismay to see her fists practically bare, stripped of her familiar weapon, save for the simple gloves Cloud had bought for her. No matter. She could still fight.
The man with the water-gun hadn't moved and looked like nothing could make him move. She furrowed her brow at his words, wondering how he knew about this creature that was nearly to them. He seemed like he knew what he was doing, but a heavy sense of doubt still weighed on her.
"You better know what you're doing," she called over to him, ready to jump forward at the creature.

It was ignoring the other target for now. This human female had, after all, moved first.

Stepping closer to Ryuuji, she kept her gaze trained on the scene in front of her and murmured to him, "What if that's not enough? Do you have any more surprises?"

"Not really. Find a Weapon while I buy us time!" Shoving Tifa roughly to the side he flinched as something hit him at the side, crumbling to his knees for a moment. The wound had to be shallow at best, but pretending to for it to be worse would hopefully be the best way to get the beast to aim for him rather than her. "Hurry!"

"You're a Meister? I'm a Weapon. I don't think we have a choice but to try and fight together, unless you want to just run away."
But the fact that he had come here without a weapon as she had told her neither of them would want to run away. He seemed injured, but perhaps he could still fight if she gave him something to fight with. Either way, she kept her arm up to block if the kishin egg lashed again.
