Characters: donttelldaddy and halfcow Location: JAIL >| Rating: PG-13 Time: December 19th, whenever visiting hours are Description: Lili comes to visit Ryoki because she worries. Also to break some bad news...
Ryoki didn’t want to meet anyone, so he pondered a bit before he accepted meeting his visitor. While he didn’t want to see anyone’s face right now, fact is, he didn’t want to rot in his cell and this was a good excuse to get out. The bull gave in, and walked to the visitor’s area, being directed to a table where he noticed a familiar blond head.
Decided not to show any weakness, he approached Lili with a smile “Lili-chan~” in a fake cheerful way, Ryoki sat down in front of her, smiling almost cutely “This is a surprise. Didn’t thought you’d come to visit me.”
Lili gave him a smile in turn. It was nice to see him, make sure that he was alright. Even if he was in jail, at least he was still among the living.
"I meant to come earlier, actually. You must not have very much faith in me at all if you really didn't think I'd come to see you," Lili said, her tone only half teasing.
He laughed at her words, even thought they did hide some truth in them. Ryoki leaned front, supporting half of his body on the table and looking up at Lili "It's just a week. I'll be out soon. Thought, jail isn't so bad." good little liar, so he thought. Well, jail wasn't so bad; being in Death City was what made everything horrid to him.
"You're taking it better than me, then. I was only here for a couple of days, it was miserable." Lili said, "You know, you don't have to be here in the first place. There are plenty of people here who won't press charges if you beat on them. Like me."
"You went to jail too? What did ya do?" he sounded amused, though not surprised. Lili seemed the kind of girl to get in trouble, after all. As for her offer, there wasn't much that Ryo could say. The bull had violence urges at random when the night wasn't going well, so, in between having to call Lili and wait for her or just go out and chase his own target, he was much happier with the last one. Of course he never planned on being caught so easily, but he had forgotten the cameras.
"I broke those cameras and refused to give up my accomplice. I thought I told you."
She was the kind of girl to get into trouble, but not the kind of girl to get caught. It had been quite the shock, really. But interesting, very interesting. And a great learning experience, for the next time.
"I didn't know they caught you." it was true, her getting caught didn't sound like Lili but he didn't pay much attention to it. Still, he also found it stupid to arrest someone for breaking cameras. "And I didn't know you could go to jail for breaking cameras, that's fucking retarded." he laughed, a bit amused. Ryoki didn't really know much about law; back in his world he was an "important piece of technology" so the police didn't touch Halfs.
"Anyway, the downside of this place is that it's boring as hell. Good thing you came visit~"
Lili sighed. "It's vandalism, you're not allowed to destroy other people's things, even if pocession of those things is more criminal than anything I've done. You protect the people of Death City, and that's how they thank you. I've learned my lesson about caring."
That wasn't quite true, she did care. But until the majority of her peers gained some free thought, she would let it go. That, or until she found a way not to get caught again.
"Voyeurism is also a crime, right?" it should be. And right now, Ryoki didn't like those cameras either and would have loved to destroy them with Lili. Having eyes on whatever they did all the time was creepy, annoying and aggravating.
The Half shrugged a bit, snorting in a slightly annoyed manner and tilted his head "You told me that Near guy controls the cameras. How does he look like?"
"It's a lesser crime, apparently," Lili explained, rolling her eyes. "Near is a short little man who's always crouching over something or sitting down. He has white hair that he's too young for, and a voice that makes you want to snap his neck."
Yeah, he never seen anyone like that. Though, Ryoki doesn't really remember people that are too boring to call his attention - if he had seen Near before, he would never remember. "Asshole. Hope he fucking dies." or perhaps he'd have to meet him one day and have a nice little chat~ the thought made Ryo smirk a little.
Lili nodded. She didn't want to discuss Near any further, honestly, the man wasn't worth the energy she put into hating him, most of the time. She had come here for a reason, and the distractions had to stop.
"I'm glad to see that you're okay, Ryoki. But the two of us need to talk, actually, about the partnership."
Ryoki's sadistic thoughts stop when he heard Lili, blinking at her for a bit. "Oh? What is it?" he leaned forward, to show her he was paying attention.
She took a deep breath, and crossed her hands neatly on the table. Lili hadn't rehearsed anything, or thought about what she was going to say at all. It was best to keep it natural, and if at all possible, simple. Though the task she had assigned herself, of somehow being there to care for Ryoki and Leo at the same time, was anything but simple, she thought it was possible.
"I don't think right now is a good time," she said. "I'm busy a lot, you're in and out of trouble, and I think it would hurt others more than it would help us."
Ryoki's interested expression soon faded into a blank expressionless one, as he heard the girl's explanation. He didn't look surprised either because this wasn't surprising at all. The Half bull had no faith what so ever on humans so seeing her backing away was nothing new for him and didn't caught him off guard.
What did, however, was what made Ryoki smile next. It wasn't really a happy smile and he didn't really bother to hide it. "Ah~ and you came to tell me that face to face? How nice of you, Lili-chan."
Blank wasn't good. She shifted in her seat, uncomfortable. Lili knew that he wouldn't be pleased, but the way he spoke...not quite worse than she expected, she hadn't expected anything coming in here, but it was hostile. Not what she wanted.
"How would you prefer I say it, send you a text message and wait for you to get out of jail? I'm sorry, I really am. And I want to, but I can't."
