Yosuke couldn't help it. For all he kicked and moaned and whined about Junes being his future, he felt comfortable in business environments. They felt like a second home, almost. The layouts were all different, sure, but the mechanics of running them never changed that much. Yosuke crouched down, inspecting the side art of one of the Street Flayer IV machines.

"So, what's your overhead like?" He asked, poking at the worn paint on Ben's exposed pectorals.

Unlike Yosuke Junpei had next to no knowledge about running businesses at all - he had really been just learning from experience right from the get go since he knew that books would do jack squat for him.

So obviously, the term flew right over his head as the other teenager just blinked and gaze the brunette a confused look. "Huh?"

"Overhead," Yosuke repeated, as if he was asking Junpei a question as simple as 'what color are the walls'. And there they sat, in silence, with Yosuke's expression growing more and more pointed as he realized that maybe he should clarify.

"Like, I mean, how much does it cost to keep the place running? Lights on, heat going, machine maintenance, blah blah blah?"

Oh, so that's what he meant. Junpei gave another blink, the expression on his face shifting into one of contemplation as he tried to figure out a rough estimate.

"Well there's the rent, bills, some stuff for the exchange counter and the wages... I guess around six hundred?" The teenager shrugged after that. "I ain't really too sure." Keeping track? Yeah, that was really not one of Junpei's better traits.

Yosuke looked a little pained as Junpei gave his 'rough estimate'. He had to wonder who was doing the books for this place...or were any being done? His Mom usually took care of it back home, but she'd made sure he knew how to do it too, just in case. Sure, Yosuke wasn't the most responsible person around either, but all of this was practically second nature by now.

"Six hundred's not too bad. If this place gets popular, we'll be covering that in a few days. Then it's pure profit." He grinned, looking pleased at the prospect. So much for having to scrimp and save for everything he wanted. "How many people do you have working?"

"Just three, excluding us," Junpei replied as he held up three fingers, ticking them off as he continued. "One mechanic - Rikku - and two peeps at the counter - Takuto and Chika. We used to have a guy doing mascot, but BREW just took him back. Wages're five bucks per hour, but it should increase when the new year's here."

He put his hand back down after that, idly adjusting his cap. "Not too much of a good start, but we should get better soon. BREW stuff kinda puts a stop to the flow for a while."

"You need a mascot, huh." Yosuke mused, drumming his fingers on the cabinet. "I think I know a guy. He's a bit of a handful, but people love him. Don't ask me why."

Yosuke took a step away from the machines, looking around with a bit of a smile. "But man, dude, with a little sprucing, advertising and a business model? We can totally turn this place around, BREW or no BREW." He looked over at Junpei, holding out his hand. "Partners?"

Junpei grinned, taking the hand in his own and giving it a firm shake.

"Partners," he agreed, looking way too pleased as they shook on it. The excitement still remained as he withdrew, crossing his arms over his chest. "You got a guy, huh? Well, feel free to bring him here, and we'll see what we can do." Any help really was appreciated at this stage, since everything was still new and building up. It was really great for Yosuke to do this.

"Hey man, no problem." Yosuke was grinning too. The excitement was infectious, and it felt so different from anything Junes ever was to him. That was all family obligation and pressure. This was something they could make for themselves, and hell if that wasn't awesome. "Think we can get some people in here to help us paint the walls? Hell, I'll get food if it means we don't have to pay them!"

Junpei laughed at that, glad that Yosuke was into it as he was - he had been worried that the brunette might not take to the idea at first, but it seemed that those worries were for naught.

"Sounds like a plan." The walls had been left white since Junpei didn't have that much money to go around when (re)renovating the place, so some color would totally help around in general. "There's some food around here, although they're usually for the exchange counter." And now because of Souji, he also had two thousand pairs of pants. Junpei wasn't quite sure what to do with them either.

Free food and free pants in exchange for helping to paint the walls of a totally awesome arcade? That seemed like a totally fair deal to Yosuke.

"How about this Sunday? I can probably round up a few warm bodies by then, how about you?"

"Sunday sounds good," Junpei agreed with a nod. "I can ask around for help from my end too." They probably wouldn't need too many people actually, but hey; the more the merrier, right?

"Might as well make a party out of it. If everyone isn't partied out, after Saturday." Yosuke laughed, rubbing the back of his neck as he took another look at the arcade floor. "I've got a good feeling about this, dude."

The other teenager gave a small, amused grin at the mention of the party - mainly because he was in the know now after Kurt told him - but didn't say anything else otherwise and nodded in agreement once more.

"Me too, man," he returned, smiling. "With the both of us, we're gonna make it to the big times."

Yosuke was, decidedly, not in the know. When he thought parties on Saturday, he thought pool parties. Lucky for Junpei (and Kurt, really), Yosuke didn't pick up on a damn thing in Junpei's smile.

"Well..wanna get started?" Yosuke laughed, running his hand through his hair. It really was getting long. "We've got a lot of work ahead of us, dude. Might as well get cracking."

There was another laugh, and a replying nod to the question as he adjusted his cap. "Yeah, sounds about right." Closing down the arcade to get busy wasn't a chore now anyway, what with the few customers they had these few days due to BREW's thing.

Before that, though-- "Just give me a moment to get out of my coat, and then we can start." First a tour around would be ideal, and then just explaining how things would work and then they could get to the details. That sounded about right.
