Description: A tired little Weapon shows up to walk her Meister home from work.
Rhode had been showered and ready to go to bed before she decided to come out. With her pajamas on, she camped out on the couch, prepared to play her video games until it was bedtime. All she had to do was wait another hour, and then Mukuro would be on his way. He'd promised he'd come home early tonight, and she had every intention of being awake to greet him when he returned. Despite her best efforts, though, she was nodding off over the controller by the time 10:30 PM rolled around.
Sitting up straighter, throwing off the blanket she'd been curled up under, Rhode rubbed her eyes furiously in an attempt to shake off the creeping exhaustion. Sleeping wasn't an option right now, no matter how tempting it was. As soon as she closed her eyes, she'd be out for the night, and she wouldn't be able to see her partner come home.
Somehow, in the next ten minutes of battling yawns, she managed to convince herself that the only way to make sure she stayed awake was to go to Mukuro. She clumsily pulled on the clothes she'd worn earlier in the day, drinking a little cold water to wake herself up as she wandered out the door.
As she walked through the dim streets of the Red Light District, Rhode found herself questioning her decision. This was the sort of neighborhood where little girls were kidnapped for less than pleasant futures in slavery in her own world; Even if she knew that sort of thing didn't happen as much in this day and age, it still put her on edge. Being out by herself at night, with the pervasive fear that she'd hear those familiar boots coming out of some alley to find her, certainly did not help.
She reached the Danse Macabre before her own thoughts terrified her too much, thankfully- though she did look a bit harried as she settled down beside the door, prepared to wait as long as necessary for her partner's shift to end. It would have been warmer inside, perhaps, but she had a feeling that someone her 'age' would draw unwanted attention if she tried to go in.
