Description: December 3 is a heavy date. Namatame wants to make it a fun one for Nanako instead; Souji and Miku come along.
He'd started the day with more than a little apprehension. This day in Inaba had occurred months ago to him now, but it was hard to forget what had gone on then. Parts of his memories of that night and the weeks before it were hazy (a castle, a little girl in his arms), but others were clear as day (glimpsing monsters around every corner, an anguished accusation in a dark hospital room and the fear of death) and those were the ones that dogged him most when he dwelt on the subject. He'd been doing less and less of that lately, but today that would be next to impossible.
Much to his relief, though, being out in the daytime helped to push those memories away. Death City was a nice place to be when it wasn't under attack, and the walk down to Death By Pastry had been much more pleasant than any of the time he'd spent in the hospital. He was determined to make this day different--something good, something where everybody involved could come away feeling happy instead of unsure...especially Nanako, who deserved it most of all.
Namatame had made sure to arrive early, so that once he arrived at Death By Pastry none of the others were there yet. He nodded to himself and waited, watching the streets to spot the others when they came.
