Description: Strangely, Sasuke returns from work early to ambush Kasuga. Oddly enough, not to troll...
Initially, it had been to Sasuke's amusement that Kasuga seemingly went out of her way to avoid him. It was satisfying (yet disappointing - couldn't she learn to take a joke?) to know she was getting as riled up as always over an 'innocent' comment, which was slowly becoming a rumour. It was one he was going to have to clear up before long, not that he had any idea yet whether it was because it was him, or if she was just that uptight in general.
By this stage, though, it was growing frustrating, but only because for once he actually needed to speak to the kunoichi about a serious matter, and ask for a favour, no less. It came to the point where he went so far as to duck out of work a few minutes early in the hopes of catching her before she left - naturally, she and Yuffie were usually gone by the time he returned each night, as they started their shift when he finished his. He'd already made a mental note earlier in the day to attempt to be more civil, which he hoped would make things a little easier.
In any case, when he finally made his way into the shared apartment, Sasuke was devoid of his usual good-natured expression. After passing through the threshold of the door, he called out, "Kasuga?" If it was distinct in any way, it was the fact that for once he hadn't simply searched her out and sneaked up on her, as he usually did.
