Unfortunately, any relief he might have derived from the advantage of stealth disintegrated when he noticed Luke's dopier-than-usual look. He quickly concluded certain things on that matter, namely that a) Luke was on painkillers, b) Luke shouldn't be walking about outside and c) He couldn't just ignore the possibility of Luke getting into trouble in this state.
...needless to say, another conclusion was to be added to that: d) Jade was not going to enjoy this, but Jade would bite his lip and see this little adventure out to the end.
Thinking as such, Jade walked casually out of where he had been standing before, stopping a few paces away from him. "Luke," he said plainly, waiting to see how would Luke react to him.

"Good afternoon, Luke. Isn't it such a nice day to be outside? Why, I don't know of any other activities that one might rather be doing to pass the time! May I know where you're headed to?"

And 'unique' didn't necessarily mean 'good' either.
"I don't know which funny conversation you might be referring to because I was only about to ask you to lead the way," Jade replied smoothly. "Wouldn't you just like to show me something that I don't know about this city?"

And this direction was not looking promising at all. Oh, Peony would have had a hoot if he had been here to see this.
"Luke, while I appreciate your enthusiasm in your capacity as a tour guide, might I suggest that we steer a little to the right?" he said finally, hoping that a little persuasion was all he'd have to use.

"I see, they do seem like the type of people you would like. A pause; why not ask some questions while he can? "If you don't mind my asking, how else have you been occupying your time here?"

"Oh! I go to the classes in the morning, then I go to work at noon, I get off work at six. I mostly go home after that, eat, stay up a bit then sleep. Sometimes I go to the library or just walk around. Oh, right, before classes I go to training, cause I want to make sure I am still fighting right even if I can't use artes."

"It's a pity I can't arrange for a noble or two to be sent here, though I wouldn't want to be responsible if they choked and died on their first day here. Besides, it'd be a terrible waste of time, wouldn't you think?"

But that was quite often the case, wasn't it?
By then, they were getting dangerously close to the Red Light District as Jade had thought and he decided off-hand that he could give persuasion another try.
"You know Luke, it seems to me that I did a lot of explaining about Auldrant while we were still there. I just happen to think that it would be quite pleasant if you could explain this place to me in return."

"Oh... okay." Luke smiled not even noticing anything odd in what Jade had said, but then again this was always how Jade acted, so why would he?
"Well, I don't see why not, it makes sense." He answered, before starting in on an explanation of Death City, things that he had as personal points of interest like his work district, or the gardens out at the park. He also talked a little bit about how this world worked with the Weapons and Meisters, though he still didn't say which he was, and didn't really give much of an idea of his thoughts on either.
