Description: Luke has some time off to recover from his arm, but doesn't want to stay with sick!Asch anymore right now, so he is out... while also on his painkillers.

Colette was out shopping when she spotted the redhead. The sling took her by surprise and she could only assume that he was injured in training or that latest mission. Just because it had been a success that did not mean people had not been hurt in assisting Shibusen, after all. "A-are you okay?" she asked as she approached. Maybe he needed help?

Luke blinked a couple times before his eyes finally focused on the blonde, a bright, happy smile on his face. "Hi~ I know you... Colette right?" He seemed stable, just a little unfocused, and clearly very happy. "You talked to me when I wasn't sleeping well!" he said, as if the revelation was like saying god had appeared in the sky, full of amazement.

"Oh! Yes! That's right!" Colette recalled him now, as he spoke, a smile at her lips. "I...I hope I helped, at least a little. But more importantly, you're all right now? Your arm was looked at in the clinic and everything?" because he really did look injured and tired, the Chosen noticed, peering at the other with concern. Of course, she herself was still adjusting to her own new partnership after Shishito left, but Colette always was the type to put others first. She was not about to talk to Luke about her problems. Not unless he pressed about them.

"mmmhumm I am sleeping lots better lately. The doctors had to sew me up, but they said I just have to not use it for a while and I will be okay." He reached out, his hand wavering just a little before he managed to land it softly on top of her head to ruffle her hair, giggling as he did so.

"Ah, well that's a relief! I'm glad it isn't too bad, and you'll be okay." Colette exclaimed, genuinely relieved for him. One hand raised and one eye closed as Luke reached to ruffle her hair, causing the Chosen to giggle. As long as her friends were all right. Colette would do anything to ensure that. To make sure Luke didn't get hurt like this again. So Lloyd didn't get hurt, most of all. But she knew such a goal was perhaps setting her sights too high, here in Death City, or back home at Sylvarant, with their Journey.

"And you? You're alright, right?" He asked, looking at her. Though his eyes looked a little distant and maybe a bit unfocused he seemed to be looking at her very intensely. She was a sweet girl, but seemed almost like she was the kind to put too much pressure on herself; course he had no idea where that opinion came from, but it seemed to fit well.

"Y-yes, I'm all right. I have a new partner now and I have a couple more friends from home show up in the latest lot of the new arrivals." Colette said, hands clasped in front of her and giving a smile in attempt to reassure the other, not mentioning her being upset at Shishito leaving and her confusion on her friends from home remembering so much more than her. Luke looked like he had enough on his mind for now as it was, after all.

Giving her a critical look, or what passed for one in his drugged state, he wrapped his good arm around her and pulled her into a hug. He didn't say anything, just sat there and hugged her.

Colette gave a puzzled look initially, emitting small gasp as Luke wrapped his arm around her, blinking. It was...unexpected, but the Chosen returned the hug, bowing her head a little with a small smile. Luke probably needed the comfort just as much, she reasoned. It wasn't the same as a hug from Lloyd, but that was okay. It was enough, for Colette, even if the reasoning might confuse her, and possibly embarrass her if she knew Luke found her so easy to read already.

Luke just... stood there, hugging her, not even really sure how he knew she was putting on a strong face, but with his meds muddling his brain he didn't really care.

Colette simply enjoyed the embrace, savoring it for a few more moments before making to pull her head back a little, giving a weak, apologetic smile at him. "Sorry....You okay?" she asked softly, her hands resting on his arms lightly.

He nodded, continuing to hold her. "Feel better?" He asked, his face a look of childish caring and curiosity.

"Y-yes....I'm okay. Thank you." Colette managed, looking a little sheepish but not wanting to worry him, relieved that he seemed to care at the very least. "How soon will your arm be healed?" she asked, trying to shift the topic and have some reassurance herself that Luke would be okay.

He smiled, happy because hugs felt nice and always seemed to make things easier to deal with when they were bad. A small part of his mind wondered if he had been hugged and comforted a bit more when he was dealing with all of the chaos and uncertain things if he wouldn't have been a bit less difficult about it all.

"The doctors said come back in a week and they will see how it is doing." He answered.

"That's good! I hope it's healed by then, Luke!" Colette encouraged him, hoping he wouldn't get too hurt in the battles to come, here or back home. As long as she was here, she would do what she could to protect her friends.

"That would be nice... I think it is a little bit too big of an injury to heal that quick though." Now that he had been thinking about the injury he remember things about it much better. "Though getting hurt kind of helped me realize that getting a partner might be worth the... problems that come with it."
