[Actually not at the forefront, but sort of... awkwardly... trailing behind Aqua and Leo, wondering for the millionth time if this was the best idea of if s/he should even be here, considering that Medusa was still at large. Ragnarok's not at the kid' back of course - now in his sword form which is being held tightly by his Meister who currently looks all but nervous.

One would almost think that this was the kid's first time in battle from the way Crona was acting, but anybody who did assume that would have their opinions revised pretty soon once the fighting started.]

[Walking second in line, Leo has yet to speak. The Half had fallen silent again right after greeting the rest of the members of the team, where he had been suspiciously restrained about making any comments about the irony of meeting any of them again in such a place or even just grumbling about what they were going to do.

His weapon, still wrapped in cloth, rests lightly in his hand.]

[She wasn't entirely certain what to make of how Leo's acting...but for all she knew maybe this was how he got whenever something like this came up.

She had already drawn her own sword, and held it to the side. Though if there had been time she would have to admit...it really wasn't such a comfort, not after being able to use an actual Keyblade.

She looked back.]

Are you sure you're all right with this, Crona?

[It wasn't that she was questioning the decision to include Crona in the mission. They wouldn't have sent the kid if s/he couldn't fight...but how nervous s/he was acting was rather worrying.]

[Crona looks up at the question, towards Aqua who has asked it. There were many worries that Crona had, really, and pretty much everyone of them were reasons that the kid couldn't really say - after all, what would the Guests think if they knew that s/he was the kid of Shibusen's greatest nemesis? Even Crona knew better than to say something like that. Privately, the kid just hopes that they'll never run into a witch here... if Medusa-sama knew, after all...

Still looking as nervous as hell, but the kid nods all the same as an affirmative.] Y... yes. [Maka was also fighting out there, as well as everybody else. And back when they rescued Marie-sensei from Norad... even Crona couldn't help with that, too. Now was the time to start making a difference, in the best way Crona could.]

[She would have to take Crona's word on it...though the kid didn't sound very certain.

Her reply to Leo was less uncertain, but if she were being honest, it wasn't just Crona she was worried about.]

..... Whatever. [Leo stops, resting the butt of whatever is being hidden under that cloth against the ground. Leaning against it, the Half gives his 'team mates' an emotionless look through eyes that are narrowed to feline slits.] We're getting paid to raise some trouble and take out as many of them as we can. No need for heroism, just the usual dirty deeds. If anybody gets hurt or can't live with that, nobody's stopping them from going home.

[Rather than Crona talking, its Ragnarok who responds this time, speaking up for his Meister since the kid really doesn't know what to say to Leo. The mouth on the jet-black sword that Crona's holding moves as Ragnarok's usual vaguely disembodied voice comes through.]

What, you're think Crona and I are going to turn around and run away? Hah! We're going to be the strongest thing against the Witches you've ever got! [They had been created with the purpose to kill Ashura, and though now he is gone the fact still remains that they were made to kill one of the strongest things in this world. A couple of Witches and kishin eggs was going to be nothing to them.]

[Leo only reacts by nodding once at that, not even batting an eye when Ragnarok suddenly decides to announce his/its presence. He'd suspected Crona's 'partner' to be here the moment he'd seen the sword and while it would have usually made him jump - he didn't have the emotional energy to waste for that now.]

Good. You're the only team here, so you'll have to do the killing. I'll do the decoy and second in line, Aqua can take commando and backup.

[As if to empathize his words, he twists his arm and the cloth comes off, revealing his weapon of choice - a straight iron pipe slightly longer than himself, marred with rust in several places and with broken off ends. It's a weapon from the dirty end of the street, not one for a war.]

[For her part, Aqua did blink a little when Ragnarok spoke up. She'd expected the sword Crona carried to be her/his Weapon...but even now she found the relationship more than a little strange. But that was as far as her surprise got. It really wasn't the time now.]

Got it.

[It was a sound strategy. Though she did spare a concerned look at his weapon, though it was gone just as quickly as it appeared. When she spoke again her expression was set, and her voice calm.]

[Tactics really isn't something that Crona knows, considering all that the kid ever really did was to go in and massacre everything in sight. Taking orders, too, is not something Crona knows - but the kid does understand, so s/he nods in response, a quiet little acknowledgement coming from the kid's mouth.]

O... okay.

[Readying Ragnarok in hand, the kid gulps as s/he readies himself for the fight that's soon to come. The kishins are already coming from the distance, and its only a matter of moments before the battle would start.]

[Eyes fixed on the approaching mass of ...something, monsters that had been humans like him once, too, maybe; Leo picks up his pipe and shifts into a battle-ready pose. He can already feel the beast inside him stir as his blood is running hot through his veins and everything seems to get more clear and yet lose its meaning besides his intended prey and the danger it poses. Normally he would shy back of this sort of condition, forcing his mind to remain calm even when he is riding the waves of his own burning-hot blood and desires. But today there are no desires, no rage or joy that could fuel him, drive him to want to go until he can no more. Just exhaustion and a low burning kind of frustration in the pit of his stomach ( ... )

[Too reckless.

That was the first thing that came to mind when Leo made his charge.

Aqua had never been the sort of fighter who relied on brute strength or speed. She was agile, but she put her agility to use keeping herself at a good distance for attacking. To charge headlong into battle the way he was doing right now was something she wouldn't even consider.

And what he said before he moved...it had been unsettling to say the least.

She gave Crona a quick nod before moving in as well. Leaving him to charge into a mass of Kishin Eggs alone wasn't an option.]
