Anyhow, she slips away to poke her head out the door before she can stop herself, and gives Karkat a slight smile in greeting]

[Rei gestures for Karkat to follow her then, plucking a menu from another maid as she passes, and leads the boy to a table that's a little further from the other customers, figuring Karkat wouldn't really want to be plunked down in the middle of all he crowds.]

Something like that. Normally we don't wear the ears and the tail though. That was management's idea. [And she obviously isn't pleased with it]

It's a cafe-- light food and light drinks, usually. Soups and salads, pastries and other sweets are the standard fare. But it's all good, at least to me.

[A chai tea and a small white chocolate bundt cake it is. She lives his hair a playful ruffle and moves on.

She returns roughly 10 minutes alter and sets the tea and little cake in front of him, ready sooner than she thought.]
