Characters: Grit and 004 Location: The shopping district Rating: PG at the most Time: Day after the attacks, morning-ish Description: Guys talking about things. Like how not to die.
[004 wasn't sure what Grit wanted to talk about- well, it was a safe bet that it had to do with the attack the other day, but beyond that he hadn't thought too much into it. His sleep schedule had been thrown off by the invasion, and between making sure everyone was safe, his Watch duties, and training, he hadn't had the chance to get in more than a nap. But he was confident that with his body, it wouldn't be a problem- even if wielding a Weapon in battle had been unexpectedly draining.
He had just left training, white-gloved hands shoved in his pockets as he wandered down the streets of the shopping district to meet with Grit. He happened to spot him a little early, and lazily waved a hand in the air to catch his attention.]
[After that battle, Grit had slept the best he had in a long time. Yes, he did miss training, but he could deal with that. He'd just have to apologize to Dug for the delay about that. Hoping that the dog found a partner or something like that.
Noticing 004, he walked over to him. Yawning a little bit... ah, he missed sleeping well. Years, it had been.] Howdy. Good to see ya again.
Hm... [He took a quick look around; this being his patrol area, he'd come to know his way around well enough.]
The closest is Death By Pastry, but there's plenty of Deathbucks around if you'd prefer a place with less frills. [In otherwords, less targeted toward cutesy couples.]
If I'm right... there should be one a couple of blocks that way. [He points back the way he came.] Death by Pasty is just around the corner, over there. [He points in the opposite direction.]
...Alright, let's go there then. [Cause if that was Death by Pastry, that was way too frilly. And he's not that gay.] Think they'll lemme smoke in there?
Okay. [He began heading that way, expecting Grit to walk with him. As for the smoking question, guess who's from before smoking bans became A Thing.] I don't see why not.
[He shook his head.] No. I don't want to rush into something like that, but... if attacks like that last one happen often, there may not be much choice. [A brief pause. Was that what Grit wanted to talk about?] What about you?
Seein' as it's a war, can't imagine it won't happen again. [He holds the door open to Deathbucks, and slips inside.] Nope. Not a one. Then again, only had you use me...

Oi, over here!
