Arthur was relieved when he heard the doors shut. He did not think this was cowardly. After all, there was no sense in battling when you had no idea about the enemy. He did worry about what was going on outside, though. He supposed that he would think about that later. For now, he wanted to find Alfred and Matthew and...

Wait.

He moved around the room, looking. Where were they? They weren't here? His pace picked up as he searched around the room frantically. No! They... they were stuck outside!

"I... I need to get outside!"

The voice snapped the samurai out of his reverie, as he opened one eye to look at the other man. He didn't move from his position against the wall, but tugged the heavy case of katana closer to his feet.

"The door is sealed," he said simply, closing his eyes again. "It won't be opened until the danger is passed."

He sighed. He almost felt bad for the man - but he wouldn't be able to defend himself in that madness. Even with the other Meisters running around, it wasn't safe for him to just charge off into a battlefield.

Dammit. He knew that. But if anything happened to those colonies... They were going to drive him to an early death. And now Arthur could not do anything but sit and wait for them.

How had he been chosen for this duty?

These people looked as though they needed reassurance, which was certainly not one of Mifune's specialties. He could handle children well enough, but to expect him to lie, and claim those who were not inside the shelter were in danger?

That was not something he could do.

"There are Meisters outside," he said quietly. "They will be working to protect those who failed to reach the shelter."

Mifune didn't have to lie. Arthur knew this was war. He also knew that Alfred and Matthew should be able to hold their own. But he was still worried. This was a strange place, with ghosts and monsters. How would they survive against things like that?

It was fine. Arthur needed to get a grip and have some faith in those boys. At least, he would pray that the danger soon passed. He nodded silently, straightening his posture.

Yes. It would be fine. Everything would be fine... Maybe.

A familiar but very specific cackle could be heard echoing through the shelter. It kind of gives the feeling that someone annoying was nearby.

"Kesesese!" Oh wait, is it really THAT guy? "It looks like I've been moved from one battlefield to another!"

Er.

Upon hearing the strange laugh, Arthur was knocked out of his daze. Whether or not that was a good thing was not determined yet. He raised his head and looked around the room. That laugh... He had not heard it in years, but he seemed to know who it belonged to.

"Prussia."

"Even now, I still don't have to introduce myself, do I? Not even here!"

The owner of the cackle manuevered his way through the group (aka forcefully pushed) to make his way to where Arthur was standing. Art's "ohgodisitreallyhim"'s face was greeted with a confident smile, and bright, determined crimson eyes.

Arthur rubbed the back of his neck. Maybe, if he pretended not to know Gilbert, he'd go away... No, probably not. The both of them had been around for a long time. Even after Gilbert's had supposedly been dissolved, he still remained and was just as proud.

He moved to meet his former comrade and enemy in the middle. At least talking to Gilbert would be a good distraction for him. "How long have you been here?"

Since this place became more amazing, duh."Does it matter? I'm here now, that's the important thing!" He looked around the place, hands on his hips, taking it all in. He soon looked back to Arthur. "Though, you're the only one I recognize around this place so far. I don't see West or Specs...not even that crazy girl with the frying pan."

"America and Canada are here as well," Arthur replied, grimacing. "But they didn't get to the shelter in time." Was that all Gilbert was worried about? He wasn't even questioning where he was or how he'd gotten there? Hm. That was typical of him. He'd probably find out all by himself later.

"Those children?" He was surprised that they were still alive. Tough brats. Not like that's a bad thing. It's a good trait to have!

"What are we here for anyway?"

There it was. "This sounds strange, I know. But we were brought here by the people of this world to help fight in a war. Against Witches." Saying it out loud, Engalnd realized how stupid it sounded. But it was the truth.

His expression was serious as he listened to England speak. Maybe, it was a bit doubtful? He must've been. Who would believe such a stupid st--

"AHA! These people are smart! Picking me! That's the most awesome choice, obviously!" Okay, so maybe he would believe this story. "Afterall, war is what I'm good at, kesese."

His strange cackle echoed through the shelter as his boisterous grin graced that confident face.

That guy accepted his story so easily. England moved a little from Prussia to lean against the wall. It was so weird to see him, after all this time. He vaguely wondered how BREW found all of these people. Prussia essentially... didn't exist anymore, right? How was he able to be brought here?

England supposed that he shouldn't question BREW's powers. It was able to do amazing things.

"This war isn't anything we're used to, Prussia."

"Of course not! No war is the same as the last."

Prussia didn't know of his non-existence, of course. The thought never crossed his mind and why would it? He was too great to end up as a dissolved country. What would happen if he had found out?
