This was better than Rikku could have ever hoped for. All this food, and bright decorations, and Yunie, and just everything. Yeah, so she wasn't with her brother or the rest of Yuna's Guardians. But she was with Yuna, and that was good enough.

It helped that the parties here were so much cooler than the ones back home.

Once Rikku had a free moment from saying hello and mingling with all of her friends, Yuna came up behind her, carrying a small wrapped gift in one hand.

"Rybbo pendrtyo, luiceh," she said, chuckling. "Are you having fun?" Because that was the most important thing, by far.

"Yunie!" Rikku giggled and spun around, hugging her cousin tightly. "Best birthday ever so far," she said. "Thanks for letting me have it here, by the way. My place is way too tiny." She spotted the box but didn't say anything, not wanting to be rude.

"You don't need to thank me," she said. "It's nice to have enough people to even partially fill this place." It felt the condo feel more homey, having visitors. It was a privilege.

"Here," she said, holding out the brightly wrapped package. "Open it."

"Hehehe, thank you!" Rikku took the package from Yuna's hands, eager to see what her cousin had gotten. "Is this from you, or you and Vergil?"

"This is from me," she said. In a way, the party itself was Vergil's gift to Rikku, as far as Yuna knew. After all, this kind of thing was well...not something he was usually comfortable with. Especially in his personal space. He'd been really good about the whole thing, though. She thought he might even be enjoying himself, when he wasn't being pestered by his brother.

Yuna waited for her cousin to open the gift and spy the scarf that lay inside the box. It was long, warm, and brightly colored, trailing from red to orange to yellow. "It's getting colder outside," she said as an explanation. "I wouldn't want you to catch a cold."

Rikku didn't hear Yuna's explanation. As soon as she spotted the scarf, Rikku threw her arms around her cousin, grinning.

"I love it! There was one almost just like this in Luca, and I was saving up to get it. How did you know?" she asked, still hugging Yuna.

Yuna chuckled happily, slipping her arms around Rikku and returning the hug. It was nice to see her so happy and vibrant. Halloween had been scary, so returning to normal like this was wonderful.

"I just thought it would suit you," she said sheepishly. "I'm glad you like it."

"E muja ed!" Stepping back, Rikku promptly wrapped it around her neck. She adjusted it, then posed. "Well, is it me?"

Yuna took the empty box from her cousin so she could properly put the article on, setting it aside to be thrown out later.

"It's perfect," she said, nodding. It really did suit her. "Happy birthday, Rikku."
