Like Aradia, Cain's own perception of time is significantly altered, but in his case it is due to the years he has just spent at home, after BREW sent him back for only one day. It seems impossible to him, how only one day could have become decades, but he has realized long ago that nothing is ever truly impossible in this strange new world; after all, he's dead back in London and yet there he is now, in Death City, alive and healthy.
Cain is so distracted by his own thoughts that he almost misses the café they chose for their meeting. Shaking his head slightly so he could focus better, he walks inside the café and quickly finds Aradia's table-- she wasn't exactly hard to find in a crowd, after all-- , making his way to her as he removes his top hat.
"Miss Aradia." He bows slightly and waves his hand vaguely to indicate the other chair by that table. "May I...?
Hearing his voice, Aradia immediately looks up and smiles. "Yes, please do!" She gently closes her books and shifts to sit up. Cain's brand of human mannerisms was different than most others, she remembers.
She hesitates to speak after he sits, because she wants to jump straight into her questions- but that would be rude, wouldn't it? "I have not ordered anything yet. What would you recommend?" She only ever did tea with Nepeta, who always created her own brews.
"Thank you," he says with a smile, sitting down and making himself comfortable, as elegant and poised as always.
Cain notices her books but doesn't comment on them just yet; instead, he answers her question as he reaches for the menu, wanting to take a look. "Earl Gray is an old favourite of mine, although the quality of the blends they have here pales in comparison to what I had back in my own world, of course."

"A friend of mine makes her own tea. Maybe I should ask her for some for you," Aradia suggests. "What did Mary like to drink?"
