Shishito was one of the patients who remained, if not only because once you got him down, he took each and every punch, kick, and slice like he deserved it. Which he probably did (but he still didn't want to say sorry). He'd rejected full healing from the clinic on the principle that he hated doctors and he hated females who fixed things too.

So there he was in his hospital bed, lying there and doing absolutely nothing. He'd done absolutely nothing for days now, except when he pondered trying to escape. At least his partner had brought along his little stuffed lion, so he held that in fingers that weren't on the mend. That's all he needed, really. That's why he could stare at the ceiling for hours and hours and try to ignore everything else. The only thing the clinic was good for was giving him an excuse not to talk to anybody.

Kuroro poked his head into Shishito's partition right about then, and he blinked down at his Ryodan with a mildly puzzled expression on his face. He had expected Shishito to have escaped by now, if not completely released for a better bill of health. The doctors were busy, but he had assumed that given Shishito's injuries the last time he had seen him and Shishito's tendency to look like a sad, sad thing, that they would pity the boy and prioritize his healing.

"Why are you still here?" he asked, before slipping into the makeshift room and very, very casually taking the empty chair beside Shishito's bed.

Assuming it was just some other "doctor" trying to pester him, Shishito didn't even flinch until the sound of Kuroro's voice went through his head. Eyes widened in terrified recognition as his head rolled to the side some. Not the one he expected to come and kill him for vengeance, but still just as bad.

He was just going to ignore the question altogether. "Wh-what are you doing here.... I-I don't want to see anybody!" Anyone he had encountered during Halloween was at the top of this list, and the only exception had been his partner. Shishito wasn't so beat up that he couldn't move -- especially after so many days had passed -- so you could see him tensing and flinching as though debating launching himself over the side of the bed and making a run for it.

He blinked curiously at Shishito, noting the panic. Maybe the kid thought Kuroro was angry at him or something silly? No, the Ryodan didn't work that way. Maybe he should get Shalnark to give this kid a walkthrough of how things were done.

"If you didn't want to see anybody, you wouldn't be here." Where everyone could just walk in on him. At least Kuroro hadn't moved from where he wasn't and wasn't coming nearer just yet.
