Conrad stopped before the door and adjusted the collar on his shirt once more. In his hands he held a small box of cookies, the best thing he could come up with for a recovering woman on such short notice and limited resources.

This girl was Yuuri's partner, and it was only right that he try to make friends. He knew a little about her, based on what he'd observed and gathered on his own (and from Yuuri, who was of course always helpful in unwittingly providing information).

He knocked on the door out of politeness.

Vergil had left the apartment a short while before to head to work when Yuna heard the knock at the door. She was unsure who might be here; perhaps Vergil had forgotten something in the apartment, though he wouldn't knock. That would be silly.

Still, she had a sleeping kitten on her lap, and Vergil would be upset if she got up from the couch until tomorrow. It was slightly rude, but she called out in a slightly raised voice.

"Come in! It's open," she said, waiting to see who was stopping in to see her.

He cracked open the door slightly, stepping into the room slowly so that she could see he meant her no harm.

"Yuna, correct?"

Yuna's expression was confused as the man came into the apartment. His features were friendly enough, though she couldn't say she recognized him at all.

"Yes, that's me," she said quietly. "I'm sorry. I don't believe we've met before."

"Ah, yes, my apologies. My name is Conrad Weller. I am a... friend of Yuuri's." To say that he was Yuuri's "friend" was strange, but he sensed that this was the best approach to take to introducing himself to Yuna.

Yuna's eyes went a little wide with recognition. "Oh, yes! You're the greatest swordsman in Shin Makoku, correct?" She looked incredibly pleased to be meeting him, and she made to stand up so she could greet him properly before she winced slightly, putting her hand to her head before giving him a sheepish look. "Oh, sorry."

She leaned back again, bowing her head slightly instead. "It's very nice to meet you. I've heard quite a bit about you. You are...Wolfram's brother as well, right?"

"Yes, I am. Your compliments are very kind," he laughed, stepping into the room and motioning for her to remain still.

Her responding smile was grateful, glad that he didn't take offense to her lack of abilities as a hostess currently. "Ah, I'm only repeating what Yuuri has told me, though I have no doubt that they are the truth." Speaking more in regards to his abilities as a swordsman.

"I'm sure he was very happy to see you. By the way he talks about you, I think you're one of his favorite people."

"Yuuri has always been very generous when it comes to his friends," Conrad replied modestly, stepping forward to set the cookies before her.

Yuna laughed, nodding her head. "And far too humble when it came to himself," she added, though her expression changed to surprise when he set the cookies down on the table in front of her.

"Oh my gosh, you didn't need to do that, Conrad!"

"Ah, it's the least I could do for an injured young lady!"
