The young Demon Lord had quickly given a rushed explanation to the bewildered Eclipse at his scrambling before leaving out the door, and in all liklihood all Eclipse managed from it was that something had happened to Yuuri. Which was the most important, anyway. Raenef dashed down the stairs and stumbled a little at the foot of them, before making it outside. Yuuri didn't seem too outwardly worried or upset, but Raenef knew he must be, even if he didn't want to show it. He still wanted to be there for his friend. Yuuri would do the same for him if one of his friends left, if Eclipse left, after all. It was only fair that Raenef help where he could, at least.

He quickly made his way to the entrance, greeting his friend with a smile and wave. "Hey! You weren't waiting too long?"

It wasn't long before he caught sight of his friend heading over. Waving high above his head, the young Maou effortlessly managed to smile brightly at Raenef despite knowing that he'd lost Wolfram yet again.

"Not at all," he said with that same smile. The gesture remained on his face, but it softened into more of a fond expression as he murmured, "I'm glad you could make it."

"It's fine, no problem, really." Raenef chirped easily, a small laugh escaping at that as he came to a stop approaching the other, scratching the back of his head. "If I can help, even if it is just helping search or cheer you up, then it's enough." the Demon Lord reassured his companion, kicking a stone with one foot. "So, where'd you want to go? What'd you want to do?"

Yuuri didn't think that there was anything he could do to repay his friend for his kindness. It didn't matter what was happening, Raenef had always been there for him, and he wanted to do the same in return.

"Thank you," he murmured honestly before leaving the topic of Wolfram where it was for not. Right now, he wanted to focus on his friend and the kindness Raenef has always shown him.

"Hmm how about we head to the shopping distrct and get an ice cream?"

"Ice cream! Yeah!" Raenef had had it maybe once or twice since Eclipse found him on the streets and taken him in. Thieving orphans got nothing of the sort and mostly lived off of bread and whatever else they pilched from the markets. As such it was a sort of treat for the boy, who's face lit up with the idea. "Good idea, Yuuri! Let's go get some!" he exclaimed excitedly, taking his friends hand as he stepped forward.

Raenef's reaction was instant, and he couldn't help but smile at how excited his friend was. It wasn't often that he had ice cream, and having one with friends was the best thing to do, in his opinion. So when his hand was taken, Yuuri didn't hesitate in moving to follow alongside his friend.

"Hm!" He sounded in reply. "It's been a while since I last had some."

"Me too! I've only had it once or twice back home with Eclipse at the Castle. I wish my friends back home could try it, I bet they would love it! I think I'll try chocolate this time, what do you think?" he asked, chatting away easily as ever as he led them to the shops and stalls, happy to provide a distraction and cheer up his friend when he was in need.

"Really? Is it just because of the area that you live in?" Yuuri curiously asked. While he knew there were some places on earth that didn't really have ice cream, most places did. Granted, Shin Makoku didn't have it from memory, so maybe it was the same in Raenef's world?

"Ah, no, it was more the fact you don't really get things like ice cream too often when you grow up on the streets. Mostly we lived off of bread. I only had things like ice cream when Eclipse took me back to the Castle and started training me as the new Demon Lord." Raenef replied lightly, a small laugh escaping as he scratched his head. He felt no need to shy away from his past when the topic came up, after all. And Eclipse had assured him his friends in the Guild were all right, as well as Raenef himself seeing them again after running away when he lost his memories for a while.

"Oooh, well that makes sense," he said. His smile falted momentarily at the reminder that Raenef once lived on the street, feeling bad for his friend, but he was definitely glad that it wasn't the case anymore.

Yuuri continued to walk alongside his friend, and with his smiling returning, he glanced at Raenef. "How long ago did Eclipse find you?"

"That would have been about a year ago, not counting the time I've been here in Death City. There abouts, I think. At first the main reason I was glad to be there was that I didn't have to keep stealing food." the Demon Lord continued with a small smile at the memory as he followed alongside Yuuri on the way to get ice cream.

"So quite a while ago then," he murmured. That was something he could relate to, since it had almost been a year for him that he'd become the Maou for Shin Makoku. Glancing back to the city around them, a soft smile played on his lips as he thoughtfully murmured while they walked, "It's funny how quickly time goes by, isn't it?"

"Yeah. It doesn't feel like it's only been a few months since I arrived here and met you and everything, really...." Raenef mused, agreeing with the young Maou. "I feel like I've been here and known you for a lot longer!" But maybe that was a part of it, everything they went through making them bond that much easier and quicker, in the circumstances they found themselves in in Death City, he pondered thoughtfully with a small smile of his own.

"I feel exactly the same way," he said with a smile growing on his lips. It was always something that he'd found kind of funny, just how quickly you could get used to a whole new world like this one. Granted, it wasn't the first time he'd had to do that, but it wasn't something that anyone normal had to worry about.

His walking slowed to a stop after a few moments, and he clasped his hands behind his back while staring off thoughtfully. "It doesn't take long, you know," he muttered quietly before turning his attention to Raenef and finishing what he wanted to say, "Before you start thinking of everyone here as someone special, someone important... I guess you could say that you start seeing them like family."

Raenef had adjusted quickly enough on his own arrival in Death City, even without Eclipse. Going from living on the streets to a Castle had likely been some steps toward this adpatability, prior to coming here with BREW.

"....Yeah. You're right. That's why I want to do my best to make sure none of my friends or anyone else here gets hurt or killed in this war." he agreed, pausing just ahead of his friend when Yuuri stopped walking.

That was exactly how he felt, and it made him happy to know that there were others out there - especially from such a good friend like Raenef. It gave him hope that they could win this war, and even if he'd be sad to leave everyone, Yuuri knew that they all belonged back home where they all came from.

Smiling softly, he said, "Yeah, that's right. If we all work together to that goal, I'm sure that we'll be able to do it."
