There was something that he should have thought was strange: for all he had been going around telling people here that he wasn't interested in playing goddamn games (and he really wasn't, at least not with any of them and definitely not with that damn irritating mushi). What he was doing now? This was a game. They were egging each other on, speaking in codes and toying with each other. Kanda even knew that they were doing it. Only this time it was a game that he wanted to play--he couldn't actually remember the last time that had happened.
His smirk growing slightly more devious, slightly more wicked, he spoke deliberately slowly, his voice almost a whisper, something private just for the two of them to hear. "Shiroi kami--white-hair. Akai me--red eyes." He paused ever-so-briefly just to make sure that what he was doing had a chance to sink in before he said the last: "Daken--cur."
There. The man had said he wanted to understand what Kanda was saying. Let him understand that.
