Time: Oct 24th, very early morning.
Description: Having stayed at Yuna’s for a few days, it’s time the two of them discussed their living arrangements. But first, accidental cuddling.
Time had certainly been moving quickly. While he had only initially found himself in Yuna’s apartment for sake of evading Genesis until he could properly sort out matters - namely, his uncharacteristically emotional state - other events had come along to prolong Vergil’s stay. First the rumours spreading over the network, and then completely without warning, “Lady” showing up in Death City and making his life all the more difficult.
The next thing he knew, he’d been at Yuna’s for a week. By that point he was barely even conscious of the fact - staying with her had become natural in a way that living in Tartarus Terraces with his partner hadn’t been. They’d settled into an easy and comfortable routine, and despite being used to being on his own, Vergil hadn’t questioned it. He’d had far too much on his mind as is, truthfully.
Just as surprisingly natural and not particularly in need of discussion was the matter of sleeping arrangements. Sharing a bed had been a case of stubborn principle on both their parts, and neither had stood down or spoken about it again - even after Vergil’s injuries had healed. As it happened, that’s what they were doing that morning, as they had been all previous mornings without fail.
On this particular morning, though, he slept uneasily. He’d been kept up the night before, meeting with Dante and Lady. He shifted just slightly.
