Bold is out on the town, trying to find some cute accessories to go with her clothes--because at least one of the personalities needs to look nice all the time instead of wearing the long skirts and oversized sweaters like Normal did.

When she sees the stand and recognizes Gai, she bounds right on over. "Gai-chan~! What's with the free food?" She's beaming, bright and happy and yes she did just call him 'Gai-chan.' What is showing respect.

"La--Lain!" There was a hesitation there, because the way she was addressing him didn't seem like what she called 'normal.' It seemed like the 'bold' one, and he wasn't sure if she had something specific she wanted to be called. "I've been cooking with Rise and we are offering what we've made to the general public! Would you like anything? They're all delicious; we sampled to make sure!"

He gestures at the offerings. "Also, there is no charge." Though she'd already said free, he wanted to emphasize that just in case it was still a bit in questioin. "How have you been today?"

"Yeah, that's me!" She grinned, setting her bags down. The hesitation makes her laughs though. "Just call me 'Bold,' it's fine!"

It all looked so good, and though she knew Normal was going to hate her for this..>Well, she's already going to be annoyed with her. She picks out a random bowl and gets to eating.

She finds it totally fine. "Ah! This is great, good job! I've been doing good." Bold nodded towards the bags on the ground. "I've been shopping. Normal keeps hoarding all our money-- Can't think why it's just wasting away. So I took the liberty of taking some of it off her hands. She's gonna be pretty ticked once she wakes up."

But Bold laughs, as this doesn't bother her at all.

"Bold. I'm sorry. I could not remember if you wished to be addressed differently."

Gai beams as she declares it good and great. "Do you think so? I'm glad! We spent a good deal of time trying to make it flavorful and like how both of us wanted it. I was hoping people would enjoy this! Few people appreciate my efforts when I cook normally."

Eying the bags, Gai considers this. "Does she have something she's saving for? If so, then she would be right to be annoyed, as I believe she does most of the work? But you are entitled to a share for what work you do, I believe. Or if she does not have plans and this does not mess anything up. Is it things that both of you would like?"

There are a lot of things he was dealing with here that he isn't used to. Multiple personalities thanks to Lain, someone who is very odd about numbers and cleaning like Monk... he just doesn't have experience here. But he is learning, and trying to do his best by each and every one of them.

"Mm-hm! It's super spicy, it's awesome!"

His words make her frown and suddenly she's like the child she is again, a faint whining tone in her voice. "What do I care? All three of us are genius hackers--I just let her do the stuff herself because she likes it. She never lets me do anything I want, so I have to force her most of the time!" Bold rolls her eyes. "She cares too much about what people think. It's why she never has any fun or friends."

Bold nudges at the bags with her foot, pouting a little. "All she ever wears is oversized sweatshirts and really long skirts. It's boring and it's ugly."

"Splendid! That is likely due to the quality of the ingredients we used! They are all good!"

At the frown Gai reached over and rested a hand on Bold's shoulder. "I am sure she has fun, and I know that she has friends. Is there a way that you can work on your relationship with her? Perhaps if you and... and..." For lack of a better word, Gai settled with, "Normal were to discuss things you could reach an agreement? Who gets to spend what money, and when they get to... manifest?"

Psychology was not something Gai would ever make a living at. "Are your clothes at least things that most would consider modest, and she would not be horrified to find herself wearing? The feeling of shame can be very strong, and it would be sad if you were to make her even more ashamed of herself to the point that she avoids friends."

Bold pouts some more, not looking at Gai. Instead she's decided to stare a hole into the table. "Maybe." It's a start, at least.

"I hate this place sometimes. I had my own body back home; I could move around and do what I wanted without her dragging around behind me."

But this isn't the sort of talk she wants to be having now, and especially not in public. Instead she reaches for another bowl. "Can I have more of this? It's soooo good!" Bold beams, bright and cheerful once more. "You should cook more often!"

God, Bold why do you encourage him.

Her shoulder got a pat. "It is hard here. Back home there is a war going on. I cannot defend my village while I am here, or assist, and it is difficult to be set back to such an beginning stage. I am a fighter, and yet I am reduced to being a weapon to be wielded. While I trust my meister, I could have wound up with someone I do not know or trust."

Gai smiles a small smile when she changes the topic. "My door is open to you, should you need anything, Bold."

And now he lets the topic go to food, and the smile is once again at its normal radiance. "Of course you can! I am glad that you are enjoying it! I would cook more often except Kakashi says it makes the apartment smell bad, and I do not want to completely annoy him."
