Characters: Kuroro Lucifer and Nataku Location: Death Robbins Rating: Gen...? Time: October 9 Description: After this. Nataku is a roneri boy, and Kuroro has something to talk to him about.
Standing outside of the ice cream parlor, he wondered what flavor that he should choose. Ezio told him that he should start to have his own opinions, but he only based what it was that he wanted for the most part on what he would want. Regardless if Kamui was present or not, Nataku would do what he would to ensure that his Wishes would become reality. Which flavor?
Even if he focused on his thoughts on something that could be considered inane, he could not dismiss the thoughts that he was feeling "lonely." There were many people in the city, and so he could not technically consider himself alone. Yet, it was his feeling that when he was not with his Meister that he was so. His head gave a slight tilt as he tried to understand such a reaction. Such reasoning. It did not make much sense, but he could at least acknowledge that was what he was feeling.
Lifting his head up, he nodded it slightly at his cooking teacher. Ah, does that not also make him a temporary surrogate parent? "Hello, Kuroro."
Kuroro nodded at the greeting as he approached the boy, smiling as usual. And as usual, Nataku seemed perpetually sad. Kuroro wondered if it was really so difficult to be happy, here or anywhere else. "Hi, Nataku. Have you been waiting long?"
He stepped into the store, knowing that Nataku would follow him in, and made his way to the counter where all the icecream flavors were displayed in large, multi-colored tubs. The menu blazed in bright red over them. (At the corner, there was a picture frame wrapped in black ribbon, the previous owner of the store who died during the kidnapping.)
"No." Nataku shook his head once at the question, paused to add. "Hello, Kuroro." There were times that he felt happy. It was strange. The things that people said to him were kind and made him feel that he should smile in response, but he did not think that he should be so. Kamui was not present. It was the incorrect response.
Mourning? Someone had mentioned the word to him, and he thought that he may very well might be in so. When Kuroro walked into the store, he followed after him without question. He stared at the menu and glanced at the picture in turn. His eyes widened a little at it before looking to his teacher -- also a temporary surrogate parent, he supposed that w as true.
"An answer." A beat. "Why have a picture of someone that is no longer present? Is it not more difficult for the individual to see them and know that they are no longer present."
Another pause. "And chocolate is fine. Someone told me to try it."
“Chocolate,” he repeated to the cashier, making his own purchase of one crepe or another. Kuroro considered the question carefully, glancing at Nataku and at the picture. He’d seen that man before - the last time had been as a mostly-rotting corpse, recognizable only by his bright red hair
