The door was fixed, so that was good news at least.
Okay, so maybe he hadn't really broken it to begin with, but there was a secret sense of satisfaction lurking within America about the possibility that he might have broken it. Or... at least left a dent in the wood or something. But the surface was clear and the door perfectly upright.
It had been a few days since America had last come here. A few days since he'd last talked to England. While he'd seen the older nation conversing a few times over the network and he'd looked to be in decent enough shape, America knew his... lover well enough to know that what he reflected outwardly to the public was usually a bit different than how he acted in private. It was time to check in on him again.
The Hero knocked on the door to England's apartment, hoping that he wouldn't have to kick it down again. "England! It's me again!"
