[There's a band but you're free to take over whenever you want.]

[ Kurt has prepared a 6 song setlist that is heavy on the Broadway numbers. He'll be performing each of these songs in this order throughout the night, not one after the other but with breaks of 20-30 minutes between them:

All That Jazz - Chicago

Cabaret - Cabaret

Just Dance - Lady Gaga [a down-tempo acoustic version]

Defying Gravity - Wicked [He loves the song too much NOT to do it]

Out Tonight - RENT

My Heart Will Go On - Celine Dion [alternating the choruses between English and French]

They'll be played in this order. And yes, he can sing those high notes. Also, yes, he'll be singing 'Just Dance' using his lower range. There will be improvised dancing, too. Feel free to congratulate him, heckle him, throw rotten fruit, whatever you want! ]

[He's off to the side watching in fascination. Singing was something not done in his culture.]

[ Kurt notices him halfway through one of his songs and it takes all the stage-presence he's got to recover a poorly executed dance move when he does - because wow, who or what is this... guy or thing? At any rate, they seem interested, so Kurt nervously approaches after the song is finished. ]

...Um, hi. I hope you enjoyed the performance?

[Tassadar doesn't notice that anything's wrong with the dance movements and continues to watch. It was a fascinating concept even as the young human approaches.]

Is this something humans do often?

Not every human, no. I sing practically every day, but for me it's one of my favorite things to do. I take it people don't sing... wherever you're from?

I see.

[He appears to be in thought at that revelation before he shakes his head.]

What little we do is for religious circumstances.

I'm not sure, but that's probably why the first humans began to sing and dance as well. Maybe with time your people will learn to adapt new reasons to sing?

[ He... really has no idea what he's talking about, but how often does one get to talk to an... alien? The trolls don't count to him, somehow, since they appear so much more humanoid. ]

[The explanation draws a chuckle to reverberate through the telepathic link.]

Perhaps. [Young species were fascinating.]

You are new to Death City?

[ Well, apparently this guy had a sense of humor... though Kurt wasn't sure what he'd said had been all that funny. ]

Yes, it's been just a few days. I've been adapting as best I can. It's probably a bit easier on me, though, than it must have been for you...

I see. Then I am pleased that you seem to be adjusting. [He doesn't make mention of how difficult he had found it.]

Other than missing family and friends and the whole war thing... and maybe certain wardrobe troubles... it's not actually that bad, being here.

[ He's surprised that he's even able to admit this. But he can't deny that life's been just that much more interesting since he came here. And nicer in a lot of ways. ]

The desire to once be with who we hold with fondness is a constant with all who arrive here. [Glancing out to the people surrounding the stage and the area beyond, his eyes seem to glow brightly in thought.] We have all been taken from what is known to us, and yet despite this, all those here have shown a great ability to adapt to this situation.

[His attention returns to the young human.]

I am Tassadar, once Executor and High Templar of the protoss race.

[ Kurt can do little but nod in agreement with this sentiment. When Tassadar introduces himself, he can't help thinking Wow, that sounds really ridiculously important. ]

Nice to meet you, Tassadar. I'm Kurt Hummel, once a high school student from western Ohio. [ And that sounds really ridiculously ridiculous. ]

[He has no idea what a high school student is, so to him, it's important.]

En Taro Adun, Kurt Hummel from western Ohio.

[ Kurt does a poor job of covering up the fact that he's laughing. ]

"En Taro Adun"?
