Aerith left her apartment a little early, tiny little butterflies creating chaos in her stomach. It wasn't too often that the Cetra got nervous about anything when she was alive, but she felt a little anxious as she headed over to Death Robbins. She knew it was silly; this was Zack, after all, and there was little to be worried about. But her conversation with Cloud the previous day had made it clear that things were not always as they seemed, and the flowergirl had no idea what point in time Zack had arrived here from. From their conversation over the network, she knew that the SOLDIER seemed to be exactly the way she remembered him from when she was younger, but that had been some time ago. How much had she changed in that time?

Zack's awareness in the Lifestream had been different from her own. He'd been waiting there for her, but without the knowledge and ability of the Ancients, it was more difficult for him to 'survive' there as an entity of his own. Her presence there had helped, but it had been about his time to go after they'd helped Cloud during the events before the end of Geostigma. And so much time had passed between the last time they'd truly stood in front of one another - what kind effect would that have on them? Aerith wasn't expecting anything, not with the events spiraling around them, but the fact that he was here, and they were both alive, had to mean something? Other than a cruel twist of fate? Everyone who had been important to her seemed to be in this place, and perhaps they were simply supposed to be together.

Either way, they needed to make the most of it. If nothing else, Aerith believed that.

The Cetra had hidden her worries away, replacing them with a happy attitude and a cheerful smile as she arrived at the ice cream shop. There was nothing that could really go wrong, she thought, and with the help of her memories, she grew more excited as she looked around for her old friend.
