Roy took up his usual place on the field the moment he arrived: sitting on a crate under one of the trees, smoking, occasionally munching on the sandwiches Nanako had packed for him, occasionally drinking from the canister of coffee that he had at hand. Most of the others were already getting started on spars and drills.
On a regular morning, he'd be out there with the rest of them, sparring, taking notes, offering tips, discussing strategies and battle plans and other concerns. This time, however, he was waiting for someone.
BREW observations aside, he had not really counted on Armstrong coming back. Now that he was, however, he was glad for it.
