this conversation.
Description: Cloud and Sephiroth meet up to talk after a long silence since Aerith's return to Gaea. There are letter passing and the potential to reconnect and resonate.
The garden was looking better since he had taken a bit of time to pull some weeds and water the plants. They already looked a little more content in their plots and stretching towards the ever-present sunlight of the day. He knew that with some care that they would continue to thrive, and then Aerith's legacy in Death City would go on even if she wasn't here to carry it forward. She had shown him enough about gardening to keep things thriving as they were now.
Tonight though, he had promised that he would finally return to the apartment that he shared with Sephiroth. He hadn't been there since Aerith had disappeared, but returning to his own bed seemed nice for the first time. He hoped that everything was still in order since he had last been there as well, but he actually had no doubt about that. Sephiroth probably hadn't stayed much in the apartment since he had taken his leave of it too.
Over the days that he had moped in the garden, he had known that Sephiroth was close by. It was easy if he had bothered to look for it because he had grown used to measuring the distance between them. For the most part, he had simply ignored the fact that he was being watched and remained clouded by his own thoughts. He still recognized that Sephiroth had stayed just out of sight and out of mind but always watching.
He wondered what the ex-General was going to be like for this meeting. It had been a long time since they had spoken to each other at all, and he supposed that he might have pressed himself too much into old times without taking into account all that they had been through. He had explaining to do, but more than that, he had things to pass along to the silver-haired man. Would they effect Sephiroth as they had done him at all?
Cloud stood silently in front of the lily patch, staring at the blossoms as he waited for the ex-General to arrive. He wondered when the silver-haired man would, or if Sephiroth would wait and try to figure out the situation first. Either way, he said that he would meet the ex-General here, and so he would wait watching the flowers.
