Prince wasn't exactly human, Feng Lan recognized that. Appearances alone would show that, unless somehow the pale blond hair was covering his ears right now? Regardless of everything, he still got up in order to face her.

"I just wanted to show you my respects, even if you are a human right now."

How to act around a person that somehow was also your country? It was best to show respect toward them, that was something Feng Lan knew for sure. She just didn't know how long it would take before she would act more informally around her.

"Mei?"

This was definitely the time she had forgotten about everything that she was thinking about seconds before, and just blurted out "can I call you Mei jie-jie?"

Mei-mei means "younger sister," something that didn't escape Feng Lan, so the homophone of Mei preceding jie-jie, which means "older sister," might be a little odd, but Feng Lan was sure that Mei's name was written differently. It was not like she was trying to make fun of her - far from it, because in this way she could verbally show her respect.

Taiwan really couldn't help but think that Prince was adorable. Even though he might look different, he was still human in her eyes. Although, she couldn't help but wonder exactly what the future was. Perhaps he was in cosplay right now?

"Then, in return, I have to do something for you! We have to be fair now!"

Shortly after she said that, Taiwan was surprised. She didn't next Prince to suddenly call her 'Older sister' at all. In fact, her younger brother ,Hong Kong, rarely calls her that her older brothers rarely call her 'younger sister' either. But, she didn't really do the same for them. Suddenly, a bright smile appeared on her face. "Sure, I don't mind it at all!"

It was a little something that she had done a lot, not only inside the game, but in real life as well. There was Zhuo-gege... and then in-game, there was Yulian-dasao, and wolf-gege. It was something that she attached to people whom she had a good opinion of in general. Mei jie-jie at least deserved a good amount of respect due to whom she was. It'd be rude to not do so, or at least that's what she thought. Now that she was saying that she wanted to do something in return for her, she thought she might have been imposing on her, but then she remembered about the whole reason why Mei jie-jie was there in the first place.

"Thank you, Mei jie-jie~. Also, I think that your showing me around the city today will be more than enough to help me."

Again, it would help to have someone that knew the city better than she did - not to mention that it would be good to just learn some landmarks and learn her way around the city based off that. Or how things worked in general in this place. She'd heard of "dollars" back home where U.S. currency was concerned, but these "Death Dollars" was a whole new thing, but if it was money that was useful around here, not much she could do aside from think it to be weird.

"Still doesn't feel like it's enough." She pouted. Really, she was probably going to baby Prince all that she can. Her citizens should deserve the best and nothing else! It was going to take a while hearing him say older sister but she wasn't completely rejecting it. It felt kind of nice knowing that she was important for him.

"Shall we get going?" She said as she gestured Prince to walking with her. "Death City isn't that bad after you get use to the heat! Hopefully once the fall comes around, it will get a lot cooler at night!" And how she wished that it could come faster. She had finally gotten use to the heat since it was generally humid in Taiwan but ,right now, she just wished it was cooler.

He nodded, though he took a little bit of time to lock the door, and make sure that he had the key securely in his pocket.

"I think that it will take some time to get used to this sort of heat, since it's not a humid sort of heat like back home. But you're right, fall should bring in cooler weather."

Feng Lan hadn't exactly followed how the weather was like in America unless it was some sort of extreme, like that one time where they had a lot of snow on the eastern seaboard for weeks at a time, where the snowfall had reached something like twenty-two or so feet within several days one time, where even Washington D.C. had closed down due to the conditions. Out here in Nevada where it was mainly desert, she didn't really know. She only hoped that it wouldn't be horribly hot even in the fall and winter.

Prince followed Mei as they got out of the building, and out into the bright sunlight.

"You know this city and everything that it has to offer. Where shall we go first?"

Taiwan had visited America in couple of times before. It was because of foreign relations between her and Alfred but it was also because she was curious. America had different culture but, more importantly, their fashion. The girl looks up to Japan when it came to clothes but she had to admire America's sense of style. Of course, she never exactly been to a desert before...

Anyway, Taiwan had her communicator in hand and started to around the map. "Let's see...how about the cafe? They have pretty good pastry over there even though they do have the word 'Death' to almost everything!" It had been about 60 years the last time she went there but the one thing she did remember was that the coffee wasn't bad...and wished that they changed the name.

Aaaah, yes, that was the one downside to everything here in this weird city. "Death" was plastered over everything, or any sort of allusion to it. Even the place where she'd work was something that had the word Death on it: Death By Pastry.

Prince nodded, "A cafe that serves pastries? It sounds like a good idea to me, Mei jie-jie. I could stand to taste some of the things I'm probably going to learn how to bake in the future."

He looked up a bit toward the sun, shielding his eyes a bit with his hand. That was one thing that Feng Lan could ever get used to - the sun actually having a face.

"And you're right about them having the word 'Death' in almost everything. Or something having to do with it. I know that we're in the middle of some war, but you have to admit, it's just a little bit ridiculous."

"Not exactly the greatest way to cheer people up, is it?" She laughed. "But I'm serious, they do have good food over there! When I get a job, we can go together one day!" Although, looking for a job was kind of hard for her. So far, she couldn't find one that she liked because she was picky. She wanted to have fun at a job and she would much rather do something she was good at. She couldn't look over for the Watch because she didn't exactly like fighting and ,as much as she doesn't want to admit it, working at the agency seemed boring.

As she walked towards the cafe, she continued to look at the map. However, she decided to place it in front of Prince's face. "Hey, since I decided that we should go to over there first, you should choose where you want to go next!" Perhaps it was a bit quick to tell him where they should go next but she wanted to learn more about her citizen. If she told him where she wanted to go next, she could have an idea of what he might be like.

Definitely not cheery, thought Feng Lan, but whatever works for this town... works. A cafe sounded good, but being the type of person that she was, she knew that he would need another place to get something to eat. And in this hot weather, a bit of ice cream could do them some good.

"Mm, I think we can go here," said Prince, pointing over to Death Robbins.

"An ice cream in this sort of weather can do us a lot of good to help cool ourselves, don't you think?"

What, Prince could eat a lot of pastries and still have room enough for some ice cream. And possibly even more, if he had the opportunity.

Prince likes ice cream, Taiwan made a mental note. If he likes something like that, then he can't be that bad. His appearance might say otherwise but it was still bugging her if he was in cosplay or not. Those ears look way too realistic.

"Of course! I never had the time to go there myself so it will be like a new experience for the both of us!" She shouted. Once Prince mentioned the weather, she started to feel a little bit sluggish. She was use to it but hearing someone mention how it was is another thing. In her mind, the only way to cure that was to be as optimistic as possible.

Even someone that has been here for a longer while than Feng Lan has not gone there yet? Not that it's bad or anything, because Taipei is rather large and even Feng Lan has not gone to certain places there. Just a little unexpected, since Death City wasn't as large as Taipei. Nor as vastly populated.

"Sure, we can be there for each other, maybe even describing one of those exotic flavors that I once heard about that ice cream place."

The heat - something that Feng Lan didn't like much at all, because even back home, she would have to use a fan to try to help keep herself cool if ever the A.C. broke down. Here it wasn't a problem, for the time being. She only hoped that it wouldn't ever, ever dare break down in the middle of this desert city.

Prince held his arm out, a gesture meant to show that he was at least trying to be proper. He didn't expect her to hold hands, and she was going to show him around. "Shall we, Mei jie-jie?"

Taiwan had to admit, she was rather proud of her citizen even though they had just met. Whoever his parents were, they really taught him some good manners and ,for that reason alone, she couldn't help but think that he was adorable too. In a way, it reminded her of something back home too.

After spending so much time in Death City, it seemed like she was slowly getting more relaxed and learned how to be more causal. With exceptions like her family members and some of the other nations, she spent most of her days surrounded by her citizen and had an air of formality. She didn't mind, it was, in a way, nostalgic.

Without any hesitation, she simply held his hand and went to show him around. "Let's!" With that said, she went straight for the cafe.
