Characters: Roy Mustang and Aya Brea.
Location: Roy's office.
Rating: PG? Nothing too terrible.
Time: 9/11, day time.
Description: After being hired to the Watch, Aya resignedly tells her story to Roy.
Aya stood before the wooden door to Roy's office, and stared at the object with a feeling of heavy anticipation and the thought that she would soon have a year's worth of anxiety and worry somewhat taken off her chest to be shared with another. She had spent quite a long time convincing herself that the events of Neo Ark could no longer haunt her or her clone, after working arduously to protect Eve who was the one thing that had kept her on the brink of reality and sanity. Eve held Maya, her parents, Kyle, Pierce, Melissa, the good, the bad-- everything within the clasp of her small hands. Without her Aya had no past. No future.
Roy probably had no clue what mess she was about to induce him into. Yet, from the darkened look in his eyes, he had seen probably as much as she had, and from that, she had to trust him. If she could be of use to him and his team, perhaps he could help her keep Eve safe. She wasn't just a bearer of Aya's well being, but also a potentially devastating weapon if she were ever put in the wrong hands. Even if their affected mitochondria was dormant in this world, it was still there, pulsating within both of them.
The ex-cop felt perspiration at the back of her neck, and calmly ran her hand over it. After rubbing off her palm on her pants, she knocked on the door and waited.
"It's Aya."
